Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which is a beautiful card to let someone know how amazing they are! Whether it’s for a birthday, thank you, or just because, this quick and easy card features the Sunny Sentiments and Create with Friends stamp sets, Simply Elegant Specialty DSP, and some additional elements! I just love the Create with Friends stamp set, it is so easy to create your own sentiments, but I thought for this card, using the Sunny Sentiments stamp set for the inside just worked perfectly. Since the design I used for the base layer from the Simply Elegant DSP is very neutral, I wanted to dress it up with some pops of color, Magenta Madness and Night of Navy, which I love these two colors paired together!
The base layer is this design from the Simply Elegant DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:
For the card front, you will need:
1. Use the third from the largest layering Stitched So Sweetly die to die-cut from Magenta Madness cardstock. I used my Stamparatus to line up the two stamps from Create with Friends on the die-cut cardstock, stamp in Versamark ink, and heat set with Silver Embossing Powder.
2. Use the second from the largest layering Stitched So Sweetly die to die-cut from Night of Navy cardstock, this will be layered under the above sentiment piece.
3. Cut about a 16” piece of Very Vanilla Scalloped Trim.
4. You will need three of the diamond shaped Silver Epoxy Essentials, not pictured.
I used my Stampin’ Seal to place a couple of strips in the middle of the base layer to adhere the Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim, placed as shown:
The layered die-cut sentiment piece is adhered over the ribbon with dimensionals and the three diamond shaped silver epoxy dots are placed as shown. This completed piece is adhered to a Magenta Madness cardstock card base, cut at 4” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:
For the inside, cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy ink, and adhere a ¾” x 4” strip of DSP along the bottom:
I just love the Create with Friends and Sunny Sentiments stamp sets combined! By using a simple sentiment from Create with Friends for the card front, you can make several of these cards and choose any of the Sunny Sentiments for the inside!
