Mother’s Day card for your sweet friend!

Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which wraps up my week of Mother’s Day cards featuring the Welcoming Window Bundle! This quick and easy card is not only to wish your friend(s) a Happy Mother’s Day, but for any occasion by simply changing the inside sentiment. When you pair this bundle with the In Good Taste DSP, you have so many choices to create different cards with this basic layout and use your favorite colors!

For the base layer, I used this design from the In Good Taste DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the card front, you will need:

1. Using the embossing window box die, spritz some water on Basic Gray cardstock and die-cut out two pieces.

2. On Basic White cardstock, use all three sizes of plant pot stamps to stamp two of each in Gray Granite cardstock and die-cut out with the coordinating dies.

3. On Basic White cardstock, use the large 2 step flower stamps (1a & 1b) to stamp two times in Mint Macaron and Poppy Parade inks and use the coordinating die to die-cut out.

4. On Basic White cardstock, stamp the sentiment in Poppy Parade ink and die-cut out with the smallest square Stitched Shapes Dies.

To assemble the card front, I first started with one large plant pot and the flower die-cuts by adhering with dimensionals and then used liquid glue to adhere the window box die and the small and medium plant pots behind the large plant pot and flowers to the DSP base layer:

The second window box die and large plant pot are adhered with liquid glue, the small plant pot with a mini dimensional, and the medium plant pot and flowers with dimensionals as shown. The sentiment is then adhered to the DSP base layer with liquid glue:

This completed piece is adhered to a Basic Gray cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

For the inside, stamp the sentiment in Poppy Parade ink, adhere a ¾” x 4” strip of the same DSP design along the bottom, and then stamp the small plant pot in Gray Granite ink and the over-hanging leaf stamp in Mint Macaron ink:

Another great card with this wonderful Welcoming Window Bundle! I am so happy that this bundle is carrying over into the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog because it really is a versatile set that you can use alone or with designer series paper!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
