Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which is a quick and easy card featuring the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper! Even though this specialty DSP was mainly used for my Valentine’s Day cards, I still have a bunch left! This DSP will be retiring when the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog ends in less than two weeks, so it’s time to get it all used up! Today’s card is quick and very easy to make multiples of, which is not only great to use up your DSP, but when you are limited on time!
The base layer is this design in Blushing Bride from the Love You Always Specialty DSP, cutting the 12” x 12” sheet into six 4” x 5 ¼” base layers and six ¾” x 4” strips for the inside:

For the card front, you will need:
1. Cut a 2” x 5 ¼” piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and use your Stamparatus to line up the sentiment and flower stamps to stamp in Versamark ink and heat set in White Emboss Powder. Let this cool for a minute and then use a Blending Brush with Crumb Cake ink to color the cardstock around the heat embossed images, don’t forget to wipe off the excess ink off the images with a soft cloth or towel.
2. You will need enough of the Whisper White Baker’s Twine from the Snail Mail Twine to tie into a bow, vertically around the base layer DSP. *I find it easier to not pre-cut the twine, but just use it right off the spool.
3. You will need three of the 4mm Matte Black Dots, not pictured.

I used my grid paper to help line up the heat embossed cardstock ¾” from the left side of the DSP base layer and adhere:

The Whisper White Baker’s Twine is tied into a bow around that ¾” area and the Matte Black Dots are placed as shown:

This completed piece is adhered to a Merry Merlot cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Merry Merlot ink, stamp the butterflies in Crumb Cake ink, stamping off first, and adhere the ¾” x 4” piece of DSP along the bottom:

How fun and easy was this card?? I absolutely love the color combination of Blushing Bride, Merry Merlot, and Crumb Cake, it is so soft and elegant! Even though I used the Love You Always Specialty DSP, you can still create this same card with the coordinating Dandy Garden DSP with the Dragonfly Garden stamp set!
