Celebrate with Flowers!

Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which is a quick and easy card featuring products from the Flowers for Every Season Suite! While I am happy that the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle is carrying over into the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog, parting is such sweet sorrow with the Flowers for Every Season 6” x 6” DSP, Ribbon Combo Pack, Brass Foil Sheets, and the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots!

The base layer is this design from the Flowers for Every Season 6” x 6” DSP, cut into three pieces measuring 4” x 5 ¼”, ¾”x 6”, and 2” x 5 ¼”, with the base layer being 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the card front, you will need:

1. Using the two long leaf dies from Sunflowers Dies, place some adhesive sheet on the back of a Brass Foil Sheet and die-cut out.

2. Using the small detailed leave die from Sunflowers Dies, place some adhesive sheet on the back of Garden Green cardstock and die-cut two pieces out. *you will not need the small leaf die-cuts, they just happen to stay in place after die-cutting due to the adhesive sheet on the back.

3. Cut a 1” x 4” piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock, use the Banners Pick a Punch to flag the right-side end, stamp the sentiment from Celebrate Sunflowers in Versamark ink and heat set in White Emboss Powder. I tied a piece of the Whisper White Faux Linen Ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack into a knot on the left-side end.

4. You will need two of the Bumble Bee and one of the Cinnamon Cider 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots, not pictured.

To assemble, adhere the heat embossed sentiment as shown to the DSP base layer with dimensionals, remove the adhesive backing from the die-cuts to place behind the sentiment, and placed the enamel dots as shown:

This completed piece is adhered to a Cinnamon Cider cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment from Celebrate Sunflowers in Cinnamon Cider ink, and adhere the ¾” x 6” strip of DSP along the bottom, trimming off the excess:

Talk about a quick and easy card! All you need is a sentiment and a few additional products when you let the DSP do all the work for you! Not only is this a great way to use up your 6” x 6” DSP, but the layout is so easy to use for any of the DSP designs!!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
