Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which kicks off my week of the Berry Blessings Bundle from the 2021 Sale-A-Bration Catalog! But, if you’re like me and only have the Berry Blessings Bundle, you still can make super sweet cards! Today, however, I’m going to show you how to make a #simplestamping One Sheet Wonder card and also show you how to take your cards up a notch with just a few additional products! What is “simple stamping” aka #simplestamping? Exactly how it sounds, just ink and paper!
For this card, I used this design from the Berry Delightful 12” x 12” DSP, cutting the DSP into three 4” x 12” (vertical) pieces. For two of the 4” x 12” pieces, cut at 5 ¼” and 10 ½” along the 12” side (two 4” x 5 ¼” pieces), and then cut the 1 ½” x 4” piece in half along the 1 ½” side, for two ¾” x 4” pieces. For the third 4” x 12” piece, cut at 3”, 6”, and 9” along the 12” side, which will give you four 3” x 4” pieces. This will give you four 4” x 5 ¼” base layers and you will use the opposite side design for the 3” x 4” pieces:
Next you will cut a 3 ¼” x 4 ¼” piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock, which will be used to layer under the 3” x 4” piece of DSP:
For the sentiment piece, cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 2” x 3”. Stamp the first step leaf at the upper left corner in Shaded Spruce ink and stamp the second step left in Shaded Spruce, stamping off twice first:
You will create a mask with either masking paper or a post it note by stamping the first step leaf and using snips to cut along the leaves along the bottom, put this over the stamped cardstock, and stamp the stems, first step in Shaded Spruce ink and second step in Shaded Spruce ink, stamping off twice first:
Stamp the first step berry stamp under each stem in Blackberry Bliss ink and the second step berry stamp in Blackberry Bliss ink, stamping off twice first. The sentiment is then stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink and don’t forget to remove your mask:
I used two strips of ½” x 3 ¼” strips of Blackberry Bliss cardstock and used liquid glue to adhere along the 3” sides, snipping off the excess Blackberry Bliss cardstock:
Using liquid glue, adhere the DSP and cardstock layers together, adhere the stamped sentiment in the middle of that, and then adhere this piece to the middle of the DSP base layer:
This completed piece is adhered to a Shaded Spruce cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:
For the inside, cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink, the berries and stems the same way as the card front in Blackberry Bliss and Shaded Spruce inks, and adhere the ¾” x 4” strip of DSP along the bottom:
You can take these cards another step with either a little or a lot, add some Linen Thread or Baker’s Twine tied into a double bow, add some Wink of Stella to the leaves, stamp the leaves in Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green inks, the berries in Blackberry Bliss and Rich Razzleberry inks, and use a Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends to color three of the Basic Rhinestone Jewels to add to the berries:
No matter which way you choose, this fun One Sheet Wonder is a fun way to make a #simplestamping card, or four! You only need two stamp pads, one sheet of Blackberry Bliss cardstock, and two sheets of Shaded Spruce and Basic White cardstocks!
