Sale-A-Bration Sneak Peek-A Touch of Ink

Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which is a sneak peek of the upcoming Sale-A-Bration stamp set, A Touch of Ink! This wonderful stamp set can be earned with a qualifying purchase during Sale-A-Bration from January 5th thru February 28th, 2021! Don’t let the picture on the case fool you, the images are nice and big, which you can either use the background stamp to fill in or use your Stampin’ Blends! This quick and easy card will have your recipient feeling those warm spring vibes!

Start with a Mossy Meadow cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”. You will randomly stamp the leaf stamp in Mossy Meadow ink:

For the card front, you will need:

1. Cut a 2” x 5 ½” piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock, emboss with the small detailed folder from the Greenery Embossing Folders, and wrap a piece of Braided Linen Trim around the bottom twice, tying into a knot.

2. Use the largest layering die from Stitched So Sweetly Dies to die-cut from Very Vanilla cardstock, stamp the flowers in Terracotta Tile ink, the fill-in in Petal Pink ink, stamp the hummingbird in Mossy Meadow ink, the fill-in in Soft Sea Foam ink, and brush Wink of Stella over the hummingbird.

3. Use three of the 3mm Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the middle of each flower, for a total of nine rhinestones.

To create the scenery, I first stamped the flower and the hummingbird, stamped the flower stamp again twice, and stamped the fill-in stamp in Petal Pink ink on the flowers, stamping off once before stamping the areas around the flowers:

You will first adhere the embossed strip of Soft Sea Foam cardstock to the card base and then use dimensionals to adhere the die-cut scenery over the embossed strip, to the card base:

For the inside, cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and stamp the flowers in Terracotta Tile and Petal Pink inks along the bottom:

Don’t you love this quick and easy card?? The images alone from this stamp set, with just a few added touches, will make absolutely beautiful cards! I’ll be honest, I wasn’t quite sure about this stamp set because I thought the images were actually smaller, but after seeing the stamp set in person, I just love it!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
