Hello and welcome to the Stamp It Group’s Holiday Theme Blog Hop! My name is Christina Miller and you are visiting my blog, Christina’s Creative Corner. Whether this is your first stop on the blog hop tour or you have hopped on over from another blog, thank you for letting me share my card creation with you today!
Sometimes you just need a bigger card to fit everything, especially when you want to make a super cute Christmas card! I’ve had a few ideas for the Fireside Trimmings Bundle and using a slimline card works perfectly for this card! Not only is it pretty easy to make, especially if you are wanting a “wow” card, but I was able to use some other stamps and dies to be creative since I do not have any traditional color DSP, I just had to have the Snowflake Splendor Suite this year.
To start, your base layer will be Real Red cardstock, cut at 3 ¾” x 9”. The next layer will be this design from the In Good Taste DSP, cut at 3 ½” x 8 ¾”:

For the front of the card, you will need:
1. Stamp the large pine tree from the Winter Woods stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on Just Jade cardstock and die-cut out with the coordinating die.
2. Place some adhesive sheet on the back of gold Brushed Metallic cardstock to die-cut out the star banner two times.
3. Place some adhesive sheet on the back of Shaded Spruce cardstock to die-cut out with the holly garland. You will need three of these, one is for the card front and two are for the inside.
4. Using the leftover piece of the DSP, use the other side of the DSP to stamp the fireplace in Basic Gray ink and use the coordinating die to die-cut out. There is a small rectangle die in the set, which I used to cut out the inside of the fireplace.
5. Use the large star die from Happy Dies to die-cut out of gold Brushed Metallic cardstock.
6. Stamp the trio tree stamp in Memento ink on Whisper White cardstock, use the Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Crumb Cake, Light Real Red, and Light Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends to color, and use the coordinating die to die-cut out.
7. Stamp the sentiment on Whisper White cardstock in Shaded Spruce ink and die-cut out with the smaller frame die.
8. Use the larger frame die to die-cut out of Real Red cardstock. The sentiment above will be layered underneath.
9. Using the multi-star stamp from So Much Happy, stamp in Real Red ink on Real Red cardstock and then in Shaded Spruce ink on Shaded Spruce cardstock. I used the rectangle die for the fireplace to die-cut these out for the presents for one tall and one short sized present in each color. I did this for four of each color (total of eight), two for the card front (total of four) and two for the inside (total of four).
10. Use the small bow die from Happy Dies to die cut out four Real Red and Shaded Spruce cardstocks (total of eight). Two of each color will be for the card front and two of each color for the inside.
11. Stamp the reindeer on Whisper White cardstock in Memento ink, color in with Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, and die-cut out with the coordinating die. For the reverse reindeer, I did the “mirror stamping” technique using my Stamparatus and the Silicone Craft Sheet.
12. For the fire, the grate is die-cut out of Basic Black cardstock, the log stamp is in Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and die-cut out with the coordinating die, and on Whisper White cardstock, I used Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends for the two small flame dies, Light Real Red and Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends for the large flame die.
13. Not pictured, I colored three of the 3mm Pearl Basic Jewels with a Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends and four of the 3mm Pearl Basic Jewels with a Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends. These will be applied to the tree.

This is what the tree and presents will look like, I used a Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the bows to the “presents” and cut the star banner to adhere to the tree like a garland:

I first started with two of the presents in the left corner, adhered the Christmas Tree with dimensionals, and then adhered the other two presents on the right side, behind the tree:

I adhered the first reindeer in the right corner, the fireplace next to it, and adhered the rest of the die-cuts as shown. The sentiment is adhered to the DSP with dimensionals:

This completed piece is adhered to a Shaded Spruce cardstock card base, cut at 8” x 9 ¼”, and scored at 4” (along the 8” side):

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 3 ¾” x 9”, adhere the other two holly garland along the top (starting from the corner), stamp the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink in between, and then adhere the other four “presents” in each corner as shown:
