Hello and welcome to the Stamp It Group’s Fall Theme Blog Hop! My name is Christina Miller and you are visiting my blog, Christina’s Creative Corner. Whether this is your first stop on the blog hop tour or you have hopped on over from another blog, thank you for letting me share my card creation with you today!
Today I’m going to show you how to combine products from the annual catalog and the new 2020 Aug – Dec Mini Catalog to make a beautiful “any occasion” fall themed card! I just love the new Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP and the Brushed Metallic Cardstock from the mini catalog and pictures really do not do either of these papers justice!
The base layer is this design from the Gilded Autumn Specialty Paper cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:
For the rest of the card front, you will need:
1. A 2 ½” x 4” piece of the brushed brass cardstock and emboss with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
2. Use three of the small leaf dies from the Forever Flourishing Dies to cut out of Copper Foil.
3. Enough of the Mint Macaron Basket Weave Ribbon to tie into a bow around the embossed brass cardstock (or you can adhere the ribbon across the cardstock, tie a bow separately, and use a glue dot to adhere the bow ribbon).
4. Using the milk jug stamp from Country Home, ink the stamp in Versamark ink and Early Espresso ink, stamp on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, and heat set with Clear Emboss Powder. I used Light Cinnamon Cider, Pumpkin Pie, and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends to color in the milk jug, fussy cut out, and use your Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker around the edge and the middle of the handle to “hide” any of the Very Vanilla cardstock.
Tie the ribbon around the embossed brass cardstock, adhere the milk jug with dimensionals over the ribbon, and adhere the copper foil leaves with a little bit of liquid glue:
The DSP base layer is adhered to a Mint Macaron cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”, and the assembled piece is adhered directly to the DSP base layer:
For the inside, cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment from Forever Fern in Mint Macaron ink and make two masks with the two leaf dies from Forever Flourishing Dies to “layer stamp” the leaf stamps in Cinnamon Cider and Mint Macaron inks as shown:
Isn’t this a fun and easy card to make? It’s also a great way to combine products you may already have with new products to give you even more card making inspiration!
