New Product Spotlight: Embossing Folders part 3

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which feature’s the new Lovely You Bundle and Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder! Have you ever thought about embossing your tags to give them depth and texture? Neither have I! This quick and easy card is not only a great way to create your own designer series paper, experiment with color combinations, but to use your embossing folders!

For the base layer, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”. I started with the large branch stamp in Gray Granite ink, added the large flower stamp in Terracotta Tile ink, the small leaf stamp in Pretty Peacock ink, and the small flower stamp in Petal Pink ink. I randomly stamped the first three stamps four times each and then used the last stamp to “fill in” a little bit more:

For the rest of the card front, you will need:

1. Enough Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon to tie around the base layer into a knot.

2. Cut a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock at ¾” x 3”, stamp the sentiment from Lovely You in Versamark and heat set with White Embossing Powder, and use the squared punch side from the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch on each end.

3. Cut a piece of Gray Granite cardstock at 1” x 3 ½”, use the rounded punch side from the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch on each end, and emboss with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. This will be layered under the sentiment piece.

Tie the organdy ribbon around the cardstock base layer into a knot and adhere the layered sentiment piece over the ribbon with dimensionals:

This piece is then adhered to a Thick Whisper White cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink, the large branch stamp in Gray Granite ink, and the small flower stamp in Petal Pink ink:

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
