A fun pop-up camera lens card with Capture the Good

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a super cute card featuring the Capture the Good stamp set! This is a quick and easy card to make and I wanted to take it up a step with the camera lens by using two layers of mini wobble springs! If you don’t know what wobbles are, these are fun springs that come in two different sizes (you can buy them online) and are fun accents if you want part of your card to pop up! By adding two layers of the mini wobbles, this makes the camera lens seem like it’s “zooming in” on you!

For this card, the base layer is Smoky Slate cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. The next layer is Whisper White cardstock, cut at 3 ¾” x 5”, and the sentiment is stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink:

For the card front, you will need:

1. Two mini wobbles.

2. Heat emboss the sentiment in Silver Emboss Powder on Basic Black cardstock and cut out with the third smallest Stitched Nested Labels Dies.

3. Heat emboss the camera in Silver Emboss Powder on Basic Black cardstock and fussy cut out.

4. To create the two layers of lenses, heat emboss the lens in Silver Emboss Powder on Basic Black cardstock twice, use the 1 ½” Circle Punch on one lens, and the 1” Circle Punch on the other lens. I used one 6mm clear droplet from the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets in the middle of the lens on the 1” punched lens.

I first attached the 1 ½” circle lens with one mini wobble to the cut out camera and then attached the other mini wobble to the 1” circle lens to the 1 ½” circle lens:

The two base layers are adhered together, the cut out camera is adhered on top, and the sentiment is adhered with dimensionals:

This completed piece is adhered to a Lovely Lipstick cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Lovely Lipstick ink and the small shutter lens stamp in Smoky Slate ink, using the Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Write Marker to fill in the heart of two of them:

Isn’t this a fun and easy card to make?? This is so easy, that you can easily change up the Lovely Lipstick color to any other color of your choosing! Now, if you don’t have wobbles and want to make this card right away, you can easily substitute the mini wobbles with dimensionals!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
