#simplestamping with Painted Poppies!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a quick and easy #simplestamping card featuring the Painted Poppies stamp set! What makes this a #simplestamping card? It is created with just using ink, paper, and stamps! The card I’m sharing with you today is to not only show you how easy it is, but also a great way to pair it with the Peaceful Moments stamp set to send to someone for any occasion. I just love the Blackberry Bliss and Purple Posy color combination, so for this card I wanted to use both of these colors and add a splash of Rococo Rose.

For the card front, you will need:

1. Cut a piece of Purple Posy cardstock for the base layer at 4” x 5 ¼”. I used the large splatter stamp from Painted Poppies in Highland Heather ink, stamping off first, and the small splatter stamp in Blackberry Bliss ink.

2. Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 2” x 3” and stamp the flower stamp in Memento ink. I used Dark Purple Posy, Dark Rococo Rose, and Dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends to color in the flowers.

3. Cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock at 2 ¼” x 3 ¼”, this will be layered under the Whisper White cardstock piece.

The card base is Blackberry Bliss cardstock, cut at 4 ¼”x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”. Adhere the Purple Posy base layer to the card base and then adhere the layered flower piece in the middle with dimensionals:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink, and stamp the top of the flower stamp (used on the card front) in Memento ink along the bottom, coloring in the same as the card front:

Quick and easy card to make! That’s what makes this #simplestamping! Sending cards shouldn’t just be about holidays or special occasions, just letting someone know that you are thinking of them by sending a card can truly make their day! It is so easy to get caught up making those “wow” cards, but sometimes we also need inspiration for those “10 minutes or less” cards!!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
