Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a cute “get well” card made with the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper and the Tulip Builder Punch! This DSP was recently released by Stampin’ Up! that coordinates with the Small Bloom Punch (from the 2020 SAB Catalog), Heart Punch Pack, Tulip Builder Punch, and Umbrella Builder Punch (these three are from the 2020 Mini Catalog), which is another cute way to use your punches for your creative projects! So, while sitting at my desk and watching some TV, I used the Tulip Builder Punch to punch out as many tulips and leaves just to see how many cards I could make with the punch outs. After it was all said and done, I was able to create six cards using two of the designs from the DSP, one for the tulips and one for the base layer.
The base layer is this design from the Pleased as Punch DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. Note-I cut up the 12” x 12” DSP, first trimming 1 ½” off one side, turning 90 degrees and cutting at 4” (three times, along the 12” side), and then cutting those in half on the 10 ½” side, at 5 ¼”. I cut the 1 ½” strip along the 12” side at 4” and then cut the 1 ½” side in half, at ¾”, which are used for the inside. You will then have six 4” x 5 ¼” base layers and six ¾” x 4” strips for the inside:

For the card front, you will need:
1. Stamp the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink on Whisper White cardstock, punch out with the 1” Circle Punch, and use the 1 1/8” Circle Scallop Punch on Blueberry Bushel Cardstock, this will be layered under the sentiment.
2. Use the fourth largest layering Stitched Rectangle Die to cut out of Vellum Cardstock. Tip- if you cut the Vellum Cardstock in half along the 8 ½” side, you will be able to cut six of these out.
3. Use one each of the punched-out tulips and three of the punched-out leaves.

To assemble, first adhere the stitched Vellum Cardstock to the base layer DSP (put the adhesive in the middle so the tulips will hide it), arrange/adhere the tulips and leaves, and adhere the layered sentiment with a dimensional:

This completed piece is then adhered to a Blueberry Bushel cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink, and adhere the ¾” x 4” strip of DSP along the bottom:

Aside from the time it took to punch out the tulips, this is really a very easy card to make! I really like the “rain shower” as the background for the tulips and if you make six of these cards, I feel that any of the sentiments from the Timeless Tulips stamp set could be used for the inside, simple leave the inside blank and stamp the sentiment as needed. This is a great way to have a stash of cards ready to go and use up your DSP! A couple more tips I can pass along, is that you will have enough full size tulips for five cards and for the sixth, you will have to punch out a partial one, but that can be hidden and you can also change up the leaves, the back side of the DSP is green and white speckled, so you can mix those up!
