Hey, Little Ladybug!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features two products from the 2020 Sale-A-Bration catalog and a sneak peek at an upcoming product available February 4th! The Little Ladybug stamp set is a special SAB Hostess set that you can earn with a $300 (USD) product purchase and if you are on the fence about this set, well there is a coordinating die set that will be available for purchase starting February 4th for $29 (153588)! Not only do the dies cut out the four individual ladybugs, the full large flower, and just the top petal part, but it also has some super cute accent dies that also emboss! The coordinating dies were the clincher for me and as I demonstrator I could buy them NOW! lol I paired this set with the Stone 3D Embossing Folder from the Power of Hope Bundle (also in the SAB catalog) to create this sweet birthday card!

The base layer is Basic Gray cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and embossed with the Stone 3D EF:

For the card front, you will need:

1. On Whisper White cardstock, stamp the sentiment in Memento ink and punch out with the Classic Label Punch. Use the punch one more time with Lovely Lipstick cardstock, this will be layered under the sentiment.

2. Stamp the two ladybugs in Memento ink on Whisper White cardstock, color the “wings” and top of the head with Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends, and then color the back and the flower with Light Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends. Let this dry for a moment before using Wink of Stella on the wings and flower. Cut these out with the coordinating die.

3. Use the flower die to cut/emboss three pieces from Lovely Lipstick cardstock and then place a small (3mm) Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the middle of the flower.

4. Use the 2” Circle Punch to cut out a piece of Whisper White cardstock and the 2 ¼” Circle Punch to cut out a piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock. Stamp a section of the All Wired Up Background stamp in Versamark ink and heat emboss with Black Emboss Powder. These two circles will be layered together.

To assemble the card front, adhere the layered circled about the middle of the embossed base layer and adhere the ladybugs with dimensionals. Adhere the Classic Label Punch pieces together with the Lovely Lipstick layer sticking out on the left side, this is adhered to the embossed base layer with mini dimensionals. The three flowers are adhered to the embossed base layer:

This completed piece is adhered to a Basic Black cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment and little ladybugs in Memento ink, color in the ladybugs with Light Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends, and then add some Wink of Stella:

Isn’t this set so stinking cute?? I just love this time of year with the Mini (previously called Occasions Catalog) and the SAB Catalogs! This is a great time to restock on supplies that you have used up from the holidays and earn free products!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
