Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun and easy Bridge Fold card featuring the Snow Front stamp set! If you love scenery stamp sets, then Snow Front is perfect for you! Don’t be fooled by the name, use your imagination and this set can really be used for every season. Since I really wanted to create a card featuring a scenery, I thought a Bridge Fold card would be perfect and I will share with you my experiment with puff paint and ice glitter! I typically don’t use a lot of glitter as I usually make a huge mess, however, I thought I would give glitter another try for my holiday cards and if all else fails, it would just end up in my “glitter graveyard”. Lol While the Holiday Catalog recommends using the Fine Tip Glue Pen or Shimmery Crystal Effects to adhere, I wanted to see if I could add ice glitter to puff paint before heat setting and I really like how it turned out! It gives the puff paint, or snow, kind of a “glistening” look! I also used the Fine Tip Glue Pen so you could see how that looked as well.
To create the scenery, I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 6 ¾”, stamping the scenery as follows:
1. The mountains, cabin, snowman, and the “hill” stamp are all stamped with Smoky Slate ink.
2. The “trees on a hill” stamp is carefully using Shaded Spruce ink on the trees and Smoky Slate ink on the ground underneath. I found it easier to use the edge of the pad, inking with Shaded Spruce on the trees first.
3. Use the largest and smallest single trees in Shaded Spruce ink, inking only once, and stamping fully inked in the middle, second stamping on the left, and third stamping on the right.
4. The deer are stamped in Soft Suede ink.
5. I used Stampin’ Write Markers to color the cabin and snowman with Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Cherry Cobbler.

I created a mask for the three mountains and used a sponge dauber to color in the sky, first with Balmy Blue, next with Highland Heather, and finally Night of Navy inks:

Before applying the puff paint or glitter, I first cut the cardstock by cutting two 1” strips off each end. This will give you four pieces at 1” x 4” and the back panel at 2 ¾” x 4”, fitting each panel of the card. I applied dots of the puff paint on the trees and roof of the cabin, Fine Tip Glue Pen and Ice glitter on the front peak of the cabin and part of the snow man, and puff paint with ice glitter on the mountains and around the cabin. First apply the puff paint and I used a small spoon to sprinkle the glitter before heat setting, each area at a time:

For the base, I cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock at 4 ¼” x 8” and scoring at 1 ¼”, 2 ½”, 5 ½”, and 6 ¾”. The front panel is cut at 1 ¼” x 5 ½”, however as I was assembling the card, I actually trimmed it down to ¾” x 5 ½” because I felt it looked too big and was obstructing the cabin:

You want to fold and burnish the inner score lines inward and fold and burnish the outer score lines outward:

I used liquid glue to adhere the panels, starting from left to right. Using liquid glue gives you some wiggle room to move the cardstock before setting in place and making it easier to line up each panel:

The front panel is ¾” x 5 ½” in Night of Navy cardstock. I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 1” x 5 ¼”, used the curve die from In the Woods to create that “hill or snowbank” look and stamped the sentiment in the middle in Night of Navy ink:

These two pieces are layered and adhered together and then I used Tear & Tape just on the ends to adhere to the outer panels:

For the sentiment, I cut another piece of Whisper White cardstock at 2 ¾” x 4”, stamped the small tree in Shaded Spruce ink, and stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink. This is adhered to the back panel of the card:

Isn’t this an awesome holiday card?? I just love the added texture the ice glitter gives the puff paint! If you have never made a Bridge Fold card before, this will fit in a regular envelope, whether you fold it to the right or the left, and you can add a piece of printer paper (4 ¼” x 5 ½”) to cover the card front when you put it in the envelope to help protect the puff paint thru the mailing process!
