Fall foliage card!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun and easy fall foliage card made with the Snow Front stamp set! I just love when you can use a holiday stamp set for more than one holiday like the Snow Front stamp set. If you pair this with a great sentiment set, then you really have an all occasion stamp set!

The base layer is this design from Come to Gather DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼” (vertical cut):

For the rest of the card front you will need:

1. Cut a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock at 3 ½” x 4 ¾” and emboss with the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder.

2. Cut enough Braided Linen Trim to tie around the embossed cardstock into a bow.

3. Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 3” x 3 ½”, use your Stamparatus line up the tree stamps, the single large tree is stamped in Early Espresso ink and the three small trees are stamped in Gray Granite ink. Use the small dotted stamp to create the foliage with Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze inks and the ground stamp is stamped in Gray Granite ink, first generation under the trees and stamping off to fill in the rest of the ground area. Use a sponge dauber with Gray Granite in to lightly fill in the ground area, a sponge dauber with Crushed Curry ink around the trees, and a sponge dauber with Cajun Craze ink along the outside of the Crushed Curry and the cardstock edge:

Adhere the stamped cardstock on top of the embossed cardstock (more towards the top), tie the braided trim into a bow around the bottom, and then adhere to the DSP base layer:

This completed piece is adhered to an Early Espresso cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”. I decided the front needed a little extra, so I used three of the smallest (3mm) Gold Glitter Enamel Dots on the large tree:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso ink, and adhere a ¾” x 4” strip of coordinating DSP from the card front:

Isn’t this a fun and easy card to make? You can still keep the fall theme going if you cut a bigger piece of Whisper White cardstock and add the cabin and deer to give it that “warm and cozy” mountain feel!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
