Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a beautiful Thanksgiving card make with everything from the Annual Catalog! This card was a two-fold challenge for me, one-create a card with Terracotta Tile, and two-use products from the Annual Catalog. I will have to admit, figuring out colors to use with Terracotta Tile for a Fall/Thanksgiving themed card was more of a challenge! In the end, I love how Terracotta Tile pairs with Merry Merlot and adding just a pop of yellow and green keeps the fall theme!
The base layer for this card is Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and then the next layer is this design in Terracotta Tile from the 2019-2021 In Colors 6” x 6” DSP, cut at 3 ¾” x 5”:
For the card front you will need:
1. On Old Olive cardstock, stamp the leaf in Mossy Meadow ink three times and punch out with the Leaf Punch.
2. Stamp the sentiment in Merry Merlot ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the third largest rectangle from the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies. Use the second largest rectangle to cut out a layering piece on Merry Merlot cardstock.
3. On Whisper White cardstock, stamp the first flower stamp in Terracotta Tile ink, use a sponge dauber with Merry Merlot ink on the detailed flower stamp, and use a sponge dauber with Daffodil Delight ink for the flower center to create two flowers. I fussy cut these out of the cardstock, use a sponge dauber with Terracotta Tile ink around the edges, and then lightly went over the whole flower with Wink of Stella:
Adhere the base layer and DSP together, adhere the sentiment and layering piece together, and then adhere the sentiment piece to the DSP:
I positioned the flowers around the sentiment piece and then inserted the leaves to where I wanted them underneath the flowers. I removed the flowers, adhered the leaves in place with glue dots, and then adhered the bottom flower with snail and the top flower with dimensionals:
This piece is then adhered to a Merry Merlot cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. I added three of the copper Designer Elements along the bottom:
For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Merry Merlot ink, and then adhere a ½” strip of the same design DSP along the bottom, trimming off the excess (this from a 1” strip that I had from cutting the front piece, cutting in half):
Don’t you love the colors use for this card? They are “fall like” colors, but not typical colors you may use for your Fall/Thanksgiving cards and crafts. On top of all that, it was created with products that you probably already have on hand from the Annual Catalog!
