Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun and colorful fall themed card! Have you checked out the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks in the 2019 Holiday Catalog? I used one of those masks to create this colorful background and combined it with stamps and dies from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog! When I first created this background layer, I was really just experimenting with the masks to see what I could create with them, and since I liked this one so much, I completed a card with it!
The base layer is Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. I first colored the cardstock with Sponge Brayers and Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, and Merry Merlot inks. I then placed the mask with the trees on top (use a piece of tape to secure the mask) and then used a Sponge Brayer with Early Espresso ink to color in the trees:

For the card front you will need:
1. Enough Linen Thread to tie around the base layer three times.
2. Stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and then cut out with the second smallest rectangle die from the Rectangle Stitched Framelits.
3. Use the detailed leaf die from Seasonal Layers to cut out three leaves, one each from Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, and Merry Merlot cardstocks. Place a 4mm Gold Glitter Enamel Dot at the base of each leaf:

First start with wrapping the thread around the base layer three times, secure to the back with Snail, the sentiment is adhered on top of the thread with dimensionals and each of the leaves are adhered with a glue dot:

This completed piece is adhered to an Early Espresso cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso ink and the small leaves in Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, and Merry Merlot ink:

Isn’t this a stunning card that is so easy to make? I just love the colors used for this card and it was so easy to tie all of them together for the front and inside of the card! Decorative Masks are really a fun and easy way to create a background and then just add a sentiment!
