Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a super cute and fun Halloween card featuring Mercury Glass Designer Acetate sheets and the Hand-Lettered Prose Dies! When I first saw the Mercury Glass Acetate sheets in the 2019 Holiday Catalog, the “cracked” design immediately made me think of a “cracked mirror” that would be perfect for a Halloween card! Since the letters from the Hand-Lettered Prose Dies are small, spelling out the word “mirror” is a fun added touch!
The base layer is Granny Apple Green cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. I stamped the Crackle Paint background stamp in Versamark and then heat embossed with Silver Emboss Powder:

For the card front:
1. Use the Hand-Lettered Prose Dies to cut out the word “mirror” twice in Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
2. Use the spider die from the Wicked Dies to cut out 3 spiders from the Black Foil Sheets. For the middle of the spider, adhere the small frosted droplet from the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets.
3. To create the mirror, use the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes dies from the Black Foil Sheets. Use the third largest oval from the Layering Ovals Dies from the Mercury Glass Acetate sheet in the “cracked” design.

To adhere the die cut letters, use the Black Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, cut in half. TIP-for the dot of the “i”, cut a mini dimensional into a ¼ and it will fit the dot. I first started at the edge of the base layer cardstock to adhere the M and the R, then worked inward to adhere the letters. HAVE FUN with this, they do not have to line up perfectly!

I used Snail to adhere the Mercury Glass Acetate oval to the Black Foil Oval and then used liquid glue on the back of the “mirror” to adhere in the middle. Since you are “sliding” the mirror into place, using liquid glue allows you to move the mirror into place and under the letters. I then used black mini dimensionals to adhere the spiders:

Adhere the completed card front base layer to a Basic Black cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside sentiment, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”. The spider web is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Silver Emboss powder and the spider and sentiment are stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Black Shimmer Emboss Powder. I used a Black Stampin’ Write Marker to create the web line to the spider:

Isn’t this a super cute Halloween card?? I just love the Hand-Lettered Prose Dies and that you can spell out words to create a unique card! The new Black Stampin’ Dimensionals are great to use on your darker cardstock, don’t forget to add those to your shopping list!
