Hello and welcome to the Stamp It Group’s Halloween Theme Blog Hop! My name is Christina Miller and you are visiting my blog, Christina’s Creative Corner! Whether this is your first stop on the blog hop or have hopped over from another blog, thank you for letting me share my creation with you today, so let’s get started!
For me, Halloween is the kick off for Holiday cards and crafts! This year’s Holiday Catalog has some super cool products that are just perfect for Halloween! I chose to use The Raven stamp set, Monster Bash Enamel Shapes, and the Stylish Scroll Embossing folder for my card that I’m sharing with you today.
The base layer is Basic Black cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and embossed with the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder:

I wanted to give the embossed cardstock an “aged” look, so I lightly took my Versamark pad across the raised side of the cardstock and then sprinkled Gold Emboss Powder across. Before I heat set it, I took a small paint brush that I have a went around brushing off any embossing powder that was in the middle of the scrolls, I then heat set the powder, and lightly used a small nail buffer block to buff down the embossing powder so it was not so shiny and ruffed up the edges with my Paper Snips:

To create the “spooky sky”:
1. Cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 2 ¼” x 5”.
2. Create a mask for the moon with the 2” Circle Punch and color lightly in with a Sponge Dauber and Pineapple Punch ink:
3. I used my Stampartus to stamp the tree branch with Memento Ink twice so I would have a good stamped image.
4. I used the negative mask from the punch to cover the moon and then used a Sponge Dauber with Gray Granite ink to color in the sky, dark around the edges and lighter in the middle.
5. Create another mask with the Pretty Label Punch to create the clouds and then remove the mask over the moon, using any ink already on the Sponge Dauber lightly around the moon.

To complete the “spooky sky”, the sentiment is heat embossed with Shimmer Black Embossing Powder and then I added three of the crows from the enamel shapes to the tree branch:

I used my snips to rough up the edges of this piece, adhered with black dimensionals to the embossed base layer, and then adhered to a Basic Gray cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

The inside sentiment is on Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, the sentiment and feathers are both heat embossed with Shimmer Black Emboss Powder. Then use a Stampin’ Sponge with Gray Granite ink around the edges:

So, are you spooked?? Lol The Raven stamp set and Wonderfully Wicked Bundle are both a must for my Halloween cards and crafts, what are you most excited to create with?
