Wonderfully Wicked Halloween!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is my first Halloween card of the year featuring the Wonderfully Wicked Bundle! I just love Halloween and for me, Halloween is the kick off to the holiday season! When I saw this bundle in the holiday catalog, I thought it was super cute and couldn’t wait to use it for this year’s Halloween cards!

The base layer is this design from the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate, cut at 4” x 5 ¼” (don’t forget to remove the protective film from the back):

For the card front you will need two of the branches from Seasonal Layers Dies and three of the spiders from the Wicked Dies in Black Foil Sheets:

For the wicked die, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 2” x 5” and use Dark Mango Melody, Light Granny Apple Green, and Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends to color the cardstock and then cut out with the die. I then spritzed the cut out with a spritzer filled with rubbing alcohol and Champagne Shimmer Mist Paint:

To assemble:

1. Cut mini dimensionals in half to adhere the wicked to the acetate sheet.

2. Adhere the branches with a Fine Tip Glue Pen to the acetate sheet, trimming off any excess from the ends. I placed clear blocks on top to secure the branches in place while they dried.

3. The spiders are adhered to the branches with Black Mini Dimensionals.

This completed piece is adhered to a Basic Gray cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

For the inside, stamp the spider web in Smoky Slate ink, stamp the spider in Memento Ink, use a Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend to connect the web to the spider, and stamp the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink:

Wasn’t this a super cute and easy card to make?? If you do not have the Seasonal Layers Dies for the branch, you could easily cut a couple more spiders and make it look like they are crawling across the acetate! I did use Snail to adhere the acetate, put a small strip in each corner and then a strip in the middle behind the design, can’t even see it!!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
