Beauty Abounds friendship card!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a sweet and elegant friendship card! I just love the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets and pairing the Blueberry Bushel foil sheet with the Perennial Essence Vellum and DSP would create a beautiful card!! I wanted the colors of the butterflies to play on the colors of the DSP, but not to seem too busy, so I used the Stitched Nested Labels Dies to cut out the middle of the Whisper White cardstock so that the DSP is “peeking out”.

Cut a piece of Whisper white cardstock at 4 ¼” x 5 ½”, use the largest Stitched Nested Labels Die to cut out the middle of the cardstock, and then emboss with the Tufted DTIEF:

Cut this design from the Perennial Essence DSP at 4” x 5 ¼”, which will be layered underneath the embossed Whisper White cardstock:

The top layer of the butterflies is cut out of Blueberry Bushel Foil, the underlayer of the butterflies is cut out of the Petal Pink Vellum cardstock, the sentiment is stamped on Whisper White cardstock in Blueberry Bushel ink and cut out with the third from the smallest Layering Oval Die, and cut out a piece of foil sheet with the third from the smallest scalloped Layering Oval Die to layer under the sentiment. To adhere the butterfly layers together, use the Fine Tip Glue Pen, a Stampin’ Sponge with liquid glue (may be a little messy), or if you have any of the retired Sizzix adhesive sheets:

Adhere the DSP under the embossed/cut out cardstock:

Adhere the butterflies in the middle of the cardstock with the Fine Tip Glue Pen:

This layer is adhered to a Thick Whisper White cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”, and the layered sentiment is adhered on top of the butterflies with dimensionals:

The inside sentiment is on a 3 ¾” x 5” piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink, and the background bokeh is stamped in Petal Pink ink. This piece is layered on a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock, which is then adhered to the card base:

Isn’t this just a stunning card?? I chose to cut the embossed/cut Whisper White cardstock on the card front to the full size so the butterflies would fit completely since this is a big die and to layer the inside sentiment on the Blueberry Bushel cardstock to tie the colors to the card front. This is an intricate die, so patience is a must when adhering the layers together, but it is pretty easy to complete!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
