The focus is all on you!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun and quick card featuring the Capture the Good stamp set! I recently purchase some of the new Shimmer Black Emboss Powder and thought it would be fun to give the camera from this stamp set a little sparkle! I wasn’t sure what to expect from the new embossing powder, but I really like how the shimmer is very subtle and you can really see it from an angle, which is nice and unlike glitter, if you were thinking that this embossing powder may be similar to.

The base layer is Seaside Spray cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and the next layer is Whisper White cardstock, cut at 3 ¾” x 5”:

You will also need a 1 ½” x 3 ¾” piece of Seaside Spray DSP from the 2019-2021 In Colors 6” x 6” DSP, stamp the camera in Versamark on Basic Gray cardstock, heat emboss with the Shimmer Black Emboss Powder, and fussy cut out:

I stamped the sentiment on the Whisper White cardstock in Basic Gray ink (stamping off once first) and then adhere to the Seaside Spray cardstock:

The sentiment is stamped on the DSP in Basic Gray ink several times, using my Stamparatus, to make sure the image is dark enough on the DSP, and then adhere the DSP onto the cardstock:

The base layer is adhered to a Basic Gray cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”, the camera is adhered with dimensionals, and I added one of the large Seaside Spray Faceted Dot to the middle of the camera lens:

The inside sentiment is on Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, the accent stamp is stamped in Seaside Spray ink and the sentiment is stamped in Basic Gray ink:

Very quick and easy card, right?? Adding simple cardstock layers and creating your own “DSP” with a stamp is a quick and easy way to give your card that little extra! Add some heat embossing and some embellishments and you have a super cute card that will sure to brighten someone’s day!!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
