Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features the Royal Peacock Bundle! What is so awesome about this bundle is that you can make a card for just about any occasion! You can keep it simple or really dress it up, so I thought today I would show you a fun way to dress it up and carefully add color with Stampin’ Blends! You can google peacock images to get some inspiration, so today I chose to use Blueberry Bushel, Pretty Peacock, and Gray Granit for this color combination.
The base layer for the card front is this design from the Noble Peacock Specialty DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the peacock, I stamped it in Pretty Peacock ink on Whisper White cardstock and then stamped the accent “feathers” in Blueberry Bushel ink, cutting out with the coordinating die. TIP-This is a two-step stamp set, so using your Stamparatus helps lining up the accent “feathers” stamp. I then colored the breast and top of the head feathers in with Light Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends, the rest of the body with Light Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends, and for the train, the eye spots are colored with Light Old Olive and Light Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends:

Additionally for the card front, you will need 11” of the reversible ribbon, cut two of the feathers out of Blueberry Bushel cardstock, two of the smaller leaves out of Pretty Peacock cardstock, and the larger leaf die from Gray Granite cardstock, and from the Layering Circles Dies, use the fourth from the smallest to cut a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock and use the “emboss” die from the Stitched Labels Dies, this will be layered on Gray Granite cardstock, cut out with the fourth from the smallest scalloped Layering Circle Die:

I assembled the cut out feather and leaf pieces how I wanted them, put adhesive on the back of the layered circle cardstock, and placed on top, in the center (I found this the easiest way to assemble this piece):

I adhered the peacock to the layered circle cardstock and then placed the ribbon on the back:

I adhered this completed piece with dimensionals to the base layer and then this is adhered to a Gray Granite cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11” and scored at 5 ½”. I colored the smallest Rhinestone Gem with the Light Night of Navy Blend and then used it for the peacock’s eye:

The inside is on Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, the sentiment is from Forever Lovely stamped in Pretty Peacock ink, and the flower accents are stamped in Pretty Peacock ink and colored in with Light Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends:

Isn’t this an awesome bundle?? This is a great way to make a beautiful card with new products from the Annual Catalog, but also incorporate a stamp set that you already have!
