The new Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features the new Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder and the Floral Essence stamp set! I recently did a little reorganizing of my cardstock to see what I have on hand and what I may need to consider ordering and well, I discovered that I really don’t use the Brights very often. Not that it’s intentional, I think it really because I use whatever coordinates with the DSP I have. So, I decided that I would create a “brights card”, but where to start? The inspiration actually came from the Glitter Enamel Dots of all things! These come in Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, and Gorgeous Grape, so I used three of the colors for this card and I am very pleased at how it turned out!

The base layer is Coastal Cabana cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and is embossed with the Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder:

For the rest of the card front, you will cut a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock at 1 ¼” x 5 ¼” and emboss with the Subtle EF, stamp the flower in Gorgeous Grape ink on Whisper White cardstock three times and fussy cut out, stamp the leaf in Granny Apple Green ink on Whisper White cardstock twice and punch out with the Leaf Punch, and stamp the sentiment in Granny Apple Green ink on Whisper White cardstock, cutting out with the second smallest rectangle from the Rectangle Stitched Framelits:

The embossed cardstock strip is adhered to the embossed base layer and then the sentiment is adhered:

Two of the flowers are adhered to the embossed cardstock strip, the leaves are adhered behind the third flower, which is adhered with dimensionals, I used the largest Coastal Cabana Enamel Dot in the center of each flower, and then this completed piece is adhered to a Gorgeous Grape cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

The inside is a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock, the sentiment is stamped in Granny Apple Green ink, the flower is in Gorgeous Grape ink, and the flower center is in Coastal Cabana ink:

Just goes to show you that color inspiration can come from ANYWHERE! Lol We all have “those colors” that we may not really gravitate to for cardmaking, which ones are yours?? Challenge yourself to make a card with those colors and see what you can come up with!!

It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up!
