Heat embossing with the Birch Background Stamp!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun and easy card creating an embossed background with the Birch Background stamp! The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this stamp is that it would be great for Fall and Christmas cards. I know that we all want to get the most out of our stamps, so I create this card, which is very quick and easy, and a fun alternative way to use this background stamp. What better way to make this background pop than to heat emboss it??

The base layer is Sahara Sand cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and is heat embossed with Copper Emboss Powder:

For the rest of the card front, you will need Rose Metallic Thread, the sentiment from Butterfly Gala is stamped in Rococo Rose on Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the third smallest Stitched Nested Labels, use the fourth smallest die to cut out a piece of Rococo Rose cardstock to layer under the sentiment piece, stamp two large and one small butterfly and body in Memento ink, color in the inner wings with Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend, color the outer wings with Light Rococo Rose Stampin’ blends, punch the butterflies out with the Butterfly Duet Punch, and then used my Wink of Stella Pen on the butterflies:

I adhered the die cut layered pieces together, adhered some Rose Metallic Thread behind, added three of the small 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Gem in Rococo Rose, and used my bone folder to curl the butterfly wings:

The embossed base layer is adhered to a Rococo Rose cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”, the sentiment is adhered with dimensionals, and the butterflies are adhered with mini dimensionals:

The inside sentiment is on Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamped in Rococo Rose ink, and the butterflies are stamped in Rococo rose and Flirty Flamingo inks, stamping off once first:

Wasn’t this a fun and easy card to make?? I just love the combination of Rococo Rose and Copper! Have you checked out the newest Stampin’ Blends colors? You now have four of the new In Colors, So Saffron, and Gray Granite to choose from!

It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see.
