Create a fun card with the Praiseworthy Prose Bundle!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which feature’s the new Praiseworthy Prose Bundle! As sad as I was when SU! retired the Letters for You stamp set and the Large Letter Framelits, I was so excited to see the new Hand Letter Prose Dies!! What is so great about these new dies, is that they are smaller and you can fit more letters on the front of your card! So, when you pair the Praiseworthy Prose stamp set with the dies, you really do have a variety of cards that can be made with this bundle!! After the card tutorial, I will share a few pictures about the dies so you can see for yourself how these are different.

The base layer for this card is this design from Mosaic Mood DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the card front, I used the letters to cut out the sentiment in Gold Foil and Mint Macaron cardstock, which I used my fine tip glue pen to adhere the Mint Macaron cardstock to the back of the Gold Foil letter. The sentiment is stamped in Soft Sued ink (you can either use a stampin’ write marker or mask the lines and stamp with your ink pad) on a ½” x 3” piece of Very Vanilla cardstock (I always keep the strips of VV and WW cardstock when I am cutting for the inside of a card), stamping each line one at a time and I just used my snips to trim the ends at an angle. I cut three strips of Soft Suede cardstock at 5/8” x 3 1/8” to layer under the sentiments, again using my snips to trim the ends at an angle. Finally, you will need enough Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon to tie into a bow around the DSP base layer:

To assemble the card front, I adhered the die cut letters across the middle of the DSP with my fine tip glue pen, tied the ribbon around the lower part of the DSP into a bow, adhered the sentiments with dimensionals, and then adhered this to the Soft Suede cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

The inside sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays is on Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” X 5 ¼”, stamped in Soft Suede ink, and the background stamp from Praiseworthy Prose is stamped in Mint Macaron ink:

Isn’t this bundle just awesome?? I almost didn’t get the stamp set, but then I thought about it and decided to get the bundle after all because they have some great sentiments! Now, I took some additional pictures of the dies so that if you have been considering these, maybe it might help you.

The first picture is of all the dies on a 8” x 7” Magnetic Card (from Stamp-n-Storage), so you can see that the 43 dies fit on this:

The second picture is of the Mint Macaron cardstock that I used to die cut the letters and if you notice, there is no “outline” left on the cardstock from the dies. The dies from Large Letters Framelits always left the “outline” impression on the cardstock when die-cutting:

The last picture is of a few of the dies, showing how big these dies really are:

So, you can fit more letters for a bigger saying or even a couple of words on your card front, they are very easy to use, and a little bit more affordable! I definitely recommend these dies!!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
