Delightful Day and Daisy Lane card

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun birthday card featuring the Delightful Day and Daisy Lane stamp set! I just love the Mosaic Mood DSP and when I decided I wanted to create a card with this design from the it, so I set out to try and find a new color combo! Would you have ever thought to combine Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, and Basic Gray? Me neither!!

The base layer is this design from the DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the card front, you will stamp the big daisy stamp from Daisy Lane four times in Versamark ink, heat emboss with Clear Emboss Powder, and punch out with the Daisy Punch, cut a 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White Flax Ribbon, two of the Perennial Essence Floral Centers, stamp the sentiment from Delightful Day in Melon Mambo ink on Whisper White cardstock, punch out the sentiment with the Tailored Tag Punch, and then punch out another piece in Basic Gray cardstock to layer under the sentiment:

I used liquid glue to adhere the daisy layers together, adhered the flower center, and then adhered the layering cardstock behind the sentiment, slightly to the left:

The base layer is adhered to a Basic Gray card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”, and the flax ribbon is adhered across the middle with Tear & Tape:

I used my bone folder to the flower petals to curl them a little before adhering them to the base layer and then adhered the sentiment:

After I assembled the card front, I thought it needed some embellishment, so I used one of the big and two of the small Clear Epoxy Droplets:

The inside sentiment is on a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock and I used sponge daubers to ink the daisy and sentiment in Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo inks:

What a fun and cheery card to make! Did you know that the Delightful Day stamp set has a coordinating punch that you can purchase as a bundle? You can make coordinating tags in three different sizes with the Delightful Tag Topper, how fun is that??
