Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is my kick off for alternative’s to Paper Pumpkin’s June 2019 kit, A Little Smile! June is usually a pretty busy month for me with the new catalog and family vacation, so I usually take a break from PP….but, I was too distracted to suspend this month’s kit! This kit is so stinking adorable that I’m not disappointed I forgot! This week will be all about full size alternatives since the kit makes note size cards. Each card inspiration will incorporate a little more to “step it up”, but today we are going to keep it basic and only add cardstock and ink!
For card #1, you will need the products from the kit on the right (cut the back of the note card piece off) and then cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 3 ¾” x 5” and stamp the sand dollar and star in Coastal Cabana ink (stamp off first, then stamp 2ndand 3rdgeneration ink) and the coral is stamped in Crumb Cake ink (stamp off first):

Use the twine from the kit to wrap around the Whisper White cardstock layer, adhere the coral die cut vellum behind the palm tree piece, adhere this to the note card front piece, and then adhere the star:

This piece is then adhered on top of the Whisper White cardstock base layer and then adhered to a Crumb Cake cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

The inside is a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, the sentiment, sand dollar, and star are stamped in Coastal Cabana ink (only the sentiment is not stamped off first) and the texture stamp from the kit is stamped in Crumb Cake ink, stamping off first:

For card #2, you will need products from the kit on the right (the back of the note card is trimmed off), the sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake ink, and a 3 ¾” x 5” piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, stamping the sand dollar 1st and 2nd generation:

Adhere the sentiment to the laser-cut vellum circle, use adhesive behind the label to adhere the vellum circle to the note card layer, adhere the prawns behind the sand dollar and then adhere this to the note card layer:

Adhere the note card layer to the Crumb Cake cardstock base layer, tie a piece of twine into a bow around the bottom, and then adhere this to a Coastal Cabana cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

The inside is Whisper White cardstock cut at 4” x 5 ¼” and the sentiment and sand dollars are stamped in Coastal Cabana ink:

Aren’t these just adorable?? This kit is just the thing to get you in the mood for summer! I just love the idea behind this kit, Random Acts of Kindness. You make these little note cards, keep them in the storage envelope to take the cards with you, and hand them out to brighten someone’s day! These would also work perfectly to create a scrapbook page with 2” x 3” pictures!
