Smile when it’s your time to shine!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a great card combining the Daisy Lane stamp set and Garden Lane Designer Series Paper! This DSP is perfect when you want a simple card with little stamping. I chose to use Mossy Meadow as my card base because I felt it really made the other colors in the DSP “pop” and I was able to create color coordinating ribbon with Stampin’ Blends.

The base layer is this design from the Garden Lane DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

You will also need for the card front a Pearlized Doily, the sentiment heat embossed in silver on Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the smallest Rectangle Stitched Framelits, Soft Sea Foam cardstock cut out with the largest Layering Square Framelits and then embossed with the Tufted DTIEF, and enough Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon to tie into a bow, colored with the Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend Pen:

I used my Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the doily to the embossed square, turned it 90 degrees to adhere the sentiment to the middle, and then adhered this to the DSP base layer with dimensionals:

I then tied the ribbon into a bow around the bottom of the DSP and then adhered to the Mossy Meadow cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½” (it is easier for me to color a couple pieces of ribbon, tie one into a bow, adhere the other piece around the front of the DSP, and then adhere the bow with a glue dot):

The inside sentiment is on a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock in Mossy Meadow ink, the flowers are first stamped in Soft Sea Foam ink and then I used a Sponge Dauber with Mossy Meadow ink to color the middle, and I adhered a ½” x 4” piece of the same DSP design as the front along the bottom:

Wasn’t this a fun and easy card to make? To me, this DSP is perfect for using sentiment stamps alone with it and pairs easily with Whisper White and just about any of the Neutrals for your card base layer. This is such a simple and easy card layout that you could use with any designer series paper.

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
