Thank you card with Perennial Essence

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which feature’s the Perennial Essence Suite and the new In Color Purple Posy! This suite can be found on page 107 in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and I thought paring it up with the Abstract Impressions stamp set to create a beautiful Thank You card would be perfect! I just cannot get enough of this stunning Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper! Now, Purple Posy is not a coordinating color that is listed for this DSP, but sometimes it just “comes to you” that a color might coordinate with DSP and I knew I could find a design that would pair nicely with Purple Posy.

For this card, I chose this design from the Perennial Essence DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, for the base layer:

Additionally for the card front, you will need a piece of Silver Foil Sheet that is 4” long and cut two strips using the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, a 2” x 4” piece of Purple Posy cardstock, use the Leaf Punch on the Old Olive Vellum cardstock from the Perennial Essence Vellum cardstock to punch out two pieces, stamp the sentiment on Whisper White cardstock in Blackberry Bliss ink and cut out with the smallest Rectangle Stitched Framelits, a Perennial Essence Floral Center, and this flower stamp from Floral Essence stamped on Whisper White cardstock in Blackberry Bliss ink, then I used a sponge dauber with So Saffron ink for the center and a sponge dauber with Purple Posy ink for the rest of the flower, fussy cutting out:

To first assemble, I used a Fine Tip Glue Pen along the edge of the Purple Posy cardstock to adhere the Silver Foil border punch, adhered the sentiment, and then adhered this piece to the DSP base layer:

The leaves are adhered to the back of the flower with glue dots, the floral center is adhered to the flower center, and then this piece is adhered to the card front with dimensionals:

This completed card front is adhered to a Purple Posy cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment and flower in Blackberry Bliss ink, the flower center in So Saffron ink, and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink:

Isn’t this a sweet card?? What do you think of the new In Color Purple Posy? It is a very soft and light purple, pairs very well with Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape if you are going from light to dark.

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
