Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features products from the new Come Sail Away Suite from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog! As a demonstrator, it is very exciting to attend an OnStage event because not only do you receive your very own copy of an upcoming catalog, get to see upcoming new products first hand, but are also able to purchase select products! So, when I saw the Come Sail Away Suite, this was a MUST on my list! This suite includes the stamp set, dies, designer series paper, baker’s twine, trinkets, memories & more card pack, and 3D embossing folder, which I was able to purchase everything except the embossing folder. If you are looking for a “manlier” themed suite, this is perfect! This stamp set is also one of the new DistINKTive sets, which I just love! The first card I chose to make with this suite is actually a simple birthday card, which is perfect for someone who loves lighthouses.
I first started with a scrap piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped the lighthouse image in Night of Navy ink. I then cut the lighthouse with the coordinating die, which is part of the new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss product line. What’s the difference? The new dies “hug” the edge of the stamped image, making it easier to line up:

For the base layer, I cut this design from the DSP at 4” x 5 ¼” and then cut this design at 1 ½” x 5 ¼”:

For the rest of the card front, I cut a piece of Thick Very Vanilla cardstock using the third largest Stitched Rectangle Framelit, used my aqua painter with some Balmy Blue ink to watercolor the background, the cut-out lighthouse, and I braided the baker’s twine to make it look like a rope, then tying the anchor trinket at the end:

To assemble the card front, adhere the two pieces of DSP together and then adhere to a Night of Navy cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

The lighthouse is adhered with dimensionals on the watercolor washed piece of Thick Very Vanilla cardstock and the anchor is adhered with mini dimensionals. I cut one mini dimensional in half and then cut in half again, which will hide the dimensional behind the anchor. I used dimensionals on the back of the Thick Very Vanilla piece, using one to secure the other end of the baker’s twine around the corner of the cardstock. I then used a glue dot to secure baker’s twine in place. Before I adhered this completed piece to the card front, I thought it needed just a little sentiment, so I used “Happy Day” from Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set:

For the inside, I cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼” and stamped the sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings and the anchor in Night of Navy ink:

What do you think?? Don’t you just love this suite?? Even though I didn’t use it, the memories & more card pack not only comes with 50 double sided cards in two sizes, laser-cut specialty card, but also sticker sheets! So, even if you are on the fence about the sentiments from the stamp set, you can always change it up using one of the sentiments from the four sheets of the memories & more card pack!
The program that I use for showing you the products used is not updated with the Come Sail Away Suite, so I took pictures of these amazing products:
