Kindness & Compassion card with Petal Promenade DSP

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a sweet condolence card made with the Kindness & Compassion stamp set and Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper. Unfortunately, there comes a time when we may need to make a condolence card and this stamp set is perfect for the occasion. I decided to pair this stamp set with the Petal Promenade DSP because there are two designs that have trimmable elements, which I already have precut, but have not used. So, I thought this would be a perfect opportunity!

To start, I chose this design, trimmed it down to edge of each side, and rounded each corner with the Detailed Trio Punch. The final measurement after trimming is 3 ¼” x 4 ¾”:

I layering this on a piece of Highland Heather cardstock, cut at 3 ½” x 4 ¾”, the corners rounded with the Detailed Trio Punch, and embossed with the Subtle Dynamic TIEF:

For your base layer, use this design from the Petal Promenade DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

The sentiment from Kindness & Compassion is heat embossed in silver emboss powder on the DSP, which is adhered to the embossed cardstock (I used liquid glue to give me room to line up the cardstock pieces), and then I tied a piece of Whisper White Tulle Ribbon around into a bow:

This piece is then adhered to the base layer DSP and then adhered to the Highland Heather card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”:

The inside is a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White cardstock, the sentiment is stamped in Highland Heather ink and then I used the flower and leaf stamp from Beautiful Promenade in Highland Heather and Mossy Meadow inks:

What do you think?? I really haven’t used any of the trimmable designs, but I think that I’m going to experiment some more with this and see what I can create! Have you ever purchased designer series paper with some idea of how you were going to use it, but then kind of forgot about it? It’s so easy to create cards with the rest of the designs!

Wondering what specials are going on?? Current specials are listed to the right!!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
