Botanical Butterfly with Rich Razzleberry

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a quick and easy card made with the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper! This DSP can be earned for FREE with a qualifying $50 (USD) product purchase until March 31st(or while supplies last) from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog! This beautiful paper is two-sided, one side has beautiful design in color and the other side has beautiful design in black and white. Today I chose to use the black and white designs with Rich Razzleberry for a pop of color!

The base layer is Rich Razzleberry cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

The 2nd layer is the black and white check design from the DSP, cut at 3 ¾” x 5”:

The 3rd layer is Rich Razzleberry cardstock, cut at 2 ½” x 4 ¾”:

The 4th layer is the black and white butterfly design, cut at 2 ¼” x 4 ½”, and one of the butterflies are colored in with the Light and Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends and I used the Color Lifter to make the center of the wings lighter:

Now you will adhere the 2nd layer on top of the base layer and then the 4th layer on top of the 3rd layer:

Cut three pieces of the Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon and adhere those to the base layer piece:

Then you will adhere the smaller piece of cardstock/DSP on top with dimensionals:

This piece is then adhered to a Basic Black cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside, cut a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the sentiment from Butterfly Gala stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink, stamp the bigger butterfly in Memento Ink, and color in with Light and Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends, using the Color Lifter to make the center of the wings lighter:

Quick and easy card, right?? Making black and white cards are fun to make because you can choose any color to create a pop of color! I chose Rich Razzleberry because it’s not a typical color for me and I have this fabulous velvet ribbon that I’ve never used!!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
