Incredible Like You with Nature’s Poem DSP

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a quick and easy alternative card with the Incredible Like You stamp set, which coordinate with the Incredible Like You Project Kit. The kit and stamp set can be found on page 21 in the Occasions Catalog and the kit creates 16 beautiful cards, has 16 envelopes, and a gorgeous storage envelope! So, you’ve created all the cards and you are now left with the stamp set…now what? Keep on creating! Lol I really wanted to make a card with Tranquil Tide, need to give the 2017-2019 InColors some love before they retire, so I chose Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam to color coordinate to give this card a soft and subtle look.

The base layer is this design from the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the rest of the card front, you will need a Pearlized Doily, enough Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon to tie into a bow around the DSP, and a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock to stamp the sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink and the flowers in Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam ink, punching out with the Tailored Tag Punch:

You will tie the ribbon around the DSP into a bow or if you are like me, adhere enough ribbon to go around the front and then glue dot the bow on, and then use some Snail around the middle of the doily to adhere on top of the ribbon and DSP. I adhered the sentiment on top of the doily and then added three of the largest Pearl Basic Jewels:

This is then adhered to the card base, which is Tranquil Tide cardstock cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

For the inside, cut a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink, and the use the three-dot stamp to stamp in Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam inks to create a background behind the sentiment:

Wasn’t that a quick and easy alternative card to make with the stamp set?? The great thing about the project kits is that it gives you what you need to make the cards, aside from the stamp set and an ink pad (or two), and this is so awesome if you are just starting out making cards!

Wondering what specials are going on?? Current specials are listed to the right!!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
