Create a stunning card with Designer Series Paper!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a quick and easy way to create a stunning card with Beautifully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper! I recently ordered this paper because this is not paper I would typically ordered and I am so glad I decided to! This specialty paper is double sided, one side is Petal Pink and the other is Whisper White, so, if you don’t want to use the Petal Pink side, then you can custom color the white side! How awesome is that?? For my first card with this specialty paper, I thought it would pair with the Petal Promenade beautifully.

For the card front, you will need to cut this design from the Beautifully Detailed paper*, a 3 ½” x 5” piece of Petal Promenade DSP, and I used the Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheet to cut out the smaller of the two detailed dragonflies from Detailed Dragonflies Thinlits Dies. *For the framed pieces that you can trim with your trimmer, I found that these each measure 3 ½” x 5”:

I used my Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the detailed paper to the DSP:

The card base is Petal Pink cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. Since the detailed paper is a little smaller, I stamped the Hardwood Background stamp in Petal Pink ink:

I then adhered the detailed paper to the card base and the foil dragonfly is popped up with a Mini Dimensional:

The inside sentiment is on a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White cardstock, the sentiment is stamped in Grapefruit Grove ink, and the dragonflies are stamped in Grapefruit Grove and Petal Pink inks:

Quick and easy card that is stunning! This detailed paper is so easy to add to your cards for some added depth! The tips that I can pass along for this paper since it is delicate is that the sheet with one design, use your scissors to cut a custom piece as the trimmer will tear this paper and for the sheet that has the card front and other details, you can use your trimmer for the card front pieces, but use your snips for the other detailed pieces. I hope that all made sense! lol

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
