Love is in the air!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a super cute and easy Valentine’s Card! I thought the Lift Me Up stamp set and the Up & Away Thinlits Dies would be perfect for making a alternative type of Valentine’s Day card, meaning if you didn’t want one that was “frilly and gushy”, lol!

The card base is Thick Whisper White cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. The base layer is Lovely Lipstick cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and the next layer is this design from the All My Love DSP, cut at 3 ¾” x 5”. Since this is a horizontal card, make sure that you are cutting the DSP in the right direction. First adhere the DSP to the cardstock base layer:

The front of the card elements includes the big detailed hot air balloon and heart dies, cut out of Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets, the sentiment is stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink and punched out with the Classic Label Punch, 1 big and 2 small clouds stamped on Whisper White cardstock in Powder Pink ink and cut out with the coordinating die, and then 3 Heart Epoxy Droplets, one in each size. Notice that one of those hearts are colored? Well, you can use those Stampin’ Blends to color them whatever color you would like! I am using clear for this card:

To assemble the card front, I wanted the hot air balloon to pop up, so I used Mini Dimensionals, which I cut in half, and placed in areas that they would not be seen, all three clouds are popped up with dimensionals, the foil heart is adhered to the DSP with the sentiment adhered on top, and then I placed the 3 epoxy hearts:

For the inside, I stamped the two small hot air balloons in Powder Pink ink and the bigger balloon in Lovely Lipstick ink. The sentiment is from Forever Lovely in Lovely Lipstick ink:

This card was so easy to make that I actually made 6 cards from this sheet of DSP and yes, there are pieces of DSP left over that I could easily make another 2-3 cards out of. I figured I better get a move on for my cards that I send out to friends and family! Lol

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
