Incredible Like You

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which feature’s the new Incredible Like You stamp set from the 2019 Occasions Catalog! This stamp set coordinates with the Incredible Like You Project Kit, but I thought today I would make a card with just the stamp set, which is a photopolymer 2-step set. I really didn’t know what I wanted to create at first, so I decided to start with the 2-step flower stamps and chose the Calypso Coral and Grapefruit Grove color combo. I absolutely loved how the flower turned out, so I decided to use the Calypso Coral/Grapefruit Grove/Mango Melody color combo to complete this card. Let’s get started on this great, all occasion card!

The card base is Calypso Coral, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

The base layer is Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. Using the hinge-step technique with my Stamparatus, I inked up the striped stamp first in Calypso Coral ink for the top and bottom, Grapefruit Grove ink for the next step to Calypso Coral, and then Mango Melody for the middle:

For the front of the card, you will need enough Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon to tie around the base layer into a bow, this design from the 6” x 6” Wood Textures DSP that measures 2 ½” x 2 ½”, and a piece of Whisper White cardstock that measures 2” x 2”. For the flower, I stamped the outline in Calypso Coral, the full flower stamp in Grapefruit Grove, the stem and leaves in Pear Pizzazz, and the dot stamp in Mango Melody. It really doesn’t show up very well, but I used my Wink of Stella pen along the Calypso Coral outline of the flower:

To assemble the card front, tie the tulle ribbon around the base layer into a bow, adhere the squares together, use dimensionals to adhere the layered squares over the ribbon, and then adhere the base layer to the card base:

For the inside, the sentiment from this set is stamped in Grapefruit Grove and the leaves from the set are stamped along the sides in Pear Pizzazz ink:

I absolutely love card kits and the project kit that coordinates with this set makes 16 cards, but who doesn’t love seeing alternative ideas? It’s kind of like Paper Pumpkin, you want to see what others can create to inspire us!
