Quick and easy masculine birthday card

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a quick and easy masculine themed birthday card featuring the Buffalo Check Background stamp and the Winter Woods stamp set! It’s always hard this time of year to make birthday cards when you are in the midst of your Christmas crafting, so I thought I would take a couple of popular stamp sets from the Holiday Catalog to make this card!

You will start with a card base in Early Espresso cardstock, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

The base layer is Soft Suede cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and is stamped in Early Espresso ink with the Buffalo Check Background stamp:

The additional elements for the front of the card is a 6” piece of Copper Trim, the sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous is heat embossed in Copper Emboss Powder on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out with the smallest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits, use the second smallest layering oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits to cut out the Copper Glimmer Paper, cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock at 3” x 3 ¾” and use the birch tree trunk stamp from Winter Woods stamp set in Early Espresso ink. I used my Stamparatus and the “hinge-step” technique for this and used my white watercolor pencil to slightly color the trunks so they stood out a little more on the cardstock:

To assemble the card front, adhere the Crumb Cake cardstock to the Soft Suede base layer, adhere the Copper Trim across the bottom of the Crumb Cake cardstock, use liquid glue to adhere the layering ovals together, and then use a dimensional to adhere. TIP-I used Glue Dots to secure the trim to the front and back of the cardstock.:

For the inside, the sentiment is from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and is heat embossed in Copper Emboss Powder. The pinecones are from Winter Woods and are stamped in Early Espresso ink:

Wasn’t that quick and easy? It’s always fun to combine different stamps to create a great card! Have you been thinking about getting the Buffalo Check or Winter Woods sets? Then you will be happy to know that both of these sets are going to be carried over into the 2019 Occasions Catalog, along with a few other goodies from the 2018 Holiday Catalog! Yay!!
