Gallery Grunge meets Butterfly Gala!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features the Gallery Grunge stamp set and the new Butterfly Gala Bundle from the 2019 Occasions Catalog! What is in the Butterfly Gala Bundle? A super cute photopolymer stamp set and a coordinating punch! What I love about this set is that there are 4 butterfly designs that you can stamp and are made so that you punch them out perfectly! There are some very sweet sentiments and butterfly backgrounds to fill in the design, or you can color them in with your Stampin’ Blends. Today’s card is a great way to #makeacard and #sendacard to let a special someone know you are thinking of them, so let’s get started!

The card base is Gray Granite cardstock, cut at 4 ½” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

The base layer is Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. I used the “plank floor” stamp from Gallery Grunge in Gray Granit ink to create a background:

For the front of the card, I stamped this butterfly design on Whisper White cardstock in Memento ink. To get three butterflies, I stamped the whole image first and then inked up just the small butterfly again and stamped that towards the edge of the cardstock. The punch and the stamps have the big butterfly on the bottom and the small butterfly on top. I then colored the butterflies in with Light Petal Pink, Light Flirty Flamingo, and Light Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends and then added a Wink of Stella, then punching out. The sentiment is in Gray Granite ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the second smallest oval die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. You will also need a 3” piece of Burlap Ribbon and 3 of the 5mm Pearls, which I colored with the Light Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blend:

To assemble the card front, adhere the base layer to the card base. I first adhered the Burlap Ribbon with glue dots and then adhered the sentiment with dimensionals on top. I next adhered the butterflies with mini dimensionals and then added the colored pearls:

The inside is Whisper White cardstock, which I stamped and colored the same butterflies as the front, also with some Wink of Stella. I left this blank so this can be used for any occasion it may be needed for:

Do you decorate your envelopes? I sure do and for this envelope the same butterfly design and colors are used, along with Wink of Stella, to tie them all together. I love decorating the envelope, but I do keep it very simple and it will tie into what the card being sent is about:

Another quick and easy card that is sure to put a smile on your recipient’s face! Remember, it doesn’t have to be a holiday or special occasion to send a card, #makeacard and #sendacard is a sweet way to brighten someone’s day!!

It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
