To You & Yours-Paper Pumpkin Alternative

Hello and welcome to today’s cards, which are two alternative ideas for the November 2018 Paper Pumpkin, To You & Yours. I will first admit that I suspend my subscription from time to time, it just depends on if I feel I have enough time to spend playing and creating. I totally forgot to suspend November’s, I really didn’t think I was going to have the time; however, I am so glad I did forget! This month’s kit makes 10 super cute cards, but we all know we love to see the alternatives! These first two alternatives came to mind right away, so let’s get started!

For the card on the left, you will need the Cherry Cobbler and gold plaid base and one of the self-adhesive circles from the kit. Additionally, I heat embossed this deer from the Dashing Deer stamp set in Gold Emboss Powder, cut out the flourishing corner dies in Gold Foil, and used my Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends on one of the 4mm Clear Rhinestone Jewels:

To assemble, place the self-adhesive circle die cut in the middle, adhere the embossed deer on top, adhere the gold flourish pieces in opposite corners, and then adhere the colored rhinestone on the deer’s nose:

This is then adhered to the card base from the kit with dimensionals and the inside sentiment stamps from the kit are in Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green inks:

For the card on the right, start with Cherry Cobbler cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and score at 4 ¼”:

The base layer is Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and embossed with the Cable Knit Dynamic TIEF:

I cut the Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler plaid base layer from the kit in half, 2 5/8” x 4”, and then used four of the leaves and the adhesive back sequins. The sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, punched out using the Everyday Label punch, and then punched out another in Gold Foil, cutting it in half to layer behind the sentiment:

The gold foil is adhered behind the sentiment, adhere two of the leaves on each end, and then adhere to the plaid base with dimensionals:

The embossed base layer is adhered to the card base, I used dimensionals to adhere the plaid layer on top, and added some of the gold sequins for accents:

The inside sentiment is on a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” Very Vanilla cardstock, stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink, the leaves are stamped in Garden Green ink, and the stars are stamped in Daffodil Delight ink:

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
