Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a cute baby card made using the Baby Bear stamp set and Buffalo Check background stamp! While this card is more of a boy theme, I have added a bonus card down at the bottom made with Sweet Little Something (now retired) that is more of a girl theme. Do you struggle with the 2 and 3 Step stamps? I always did until I changed the way I stamped and will share this technique with you as well, even if you use the Stamparatus! Let’s get started!
For the card base, cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock, 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and score at 4 ¼”:
The base layer is Soft Sea Foam cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamped in Night of Navy ink with the Buffalo Check background stamp, and I used a ruler and my Gray Granite Stampin’ Write Marker to create a “plaid” look:
To stamp the bear, I first use the detailed stamp in Gray Granite ink, then I used the “not as detailed” stamp in Sahara Sand ink, and finally used the solid bear stamp, also in Sahara Sand ink. I find that starting with the most detailed stamp makes it easier for me to line up the images. The bear is then cut out:
For the front of the card, you will use this design from the Twinkle Twinkle DSP, cutting out with the largest scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits. The White Sheer Ribbon is colored with the Dark Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Marker, the sentiment is stamped on a ½” piece of Whisper White cardstock in Night of Navy ink and is layered on a ¾” piece of Twinkle Twinkle DSP, with both ends cut with the Banner Triple Punch:
After the ribbon is dry, I tied it into a small bow and adhered it to the bear with a glue dot. Then I adhered the scalloped oval to the base layer, the bear and sentiment are adhered with dimensionals:
This piece is then adhered to the card base:
The inside sentiment is on a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White cardstock, the is stamped in Night of Navy ink, and then I added some adhesive backed sequins:
Here is the girl themed card I made with Sweet Little Something, changed the colors used to Gray Granite and Petal Pink:
Now you will have a couple of baby cards on hand! These were both quick and easy cards that when the occasion arises, you will be ready!
