Mixing up Designer Series Paper!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is combining the Garden Impressions and the Brights 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper! This is a great quick and easy card to make, the only stamping is the sentiment on the front! I will admit that creating this card was a “happy accident”, I was trying to decide which of the two DSP’s to use, so, I just started playing around and thought the Mango Melody 6” x 6” DSP went perfectly with this flower design from Garden Impressions. To top it off, I was able to make an alternative card and use almost every bit of paper! Win-win!!

To create this card, you will start off with the card base in Thick Whisper White cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”

Each of the Designer Series Papers are cut exactly the same: cut ¾” off one side ( 5 ¼” x 6”), then along the 6” side, cut at 2”. This will give you ¾” x 6”, 2” x 5 ¼”, and 4” x 5 ¼”:

The dragonflies are from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits are cut out using the Gold Glimmer Paper and the sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings on Whisper White cardstock in Mango Melody ink, cut out with the Stitched Labels Framelits:

To put the card together, I adhered the 2” x 5 ¼” Garden Impressions DSP to the 4” x 5 ¼” Brights DSP, adhered the sentiment, used mini dimensionals to adhere the dragonflies, and added some Gold Metallic Pearls to the center of the flowers:

The remaining ¾” x 6” of Garden Impressions DSP is adhered to the bottom of the inside of the card, trimming off the extra from the end:

How easy was that?? While this card uses the striped design, my alternative below uses the other side of the Mango Melody DSP, which is the dot design. I did change it up and used the bee thinlit from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlit Dies from the Black Foil Sheets, from the 2018 Holiday Catalog!
