Welcome Little One

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is another feature from the Animal Expedition Suite! I haven’t used my Stampin’ Blends in a while, so I thought the kangaroo from the Animal Outing stamp set would be a great way to show a quick and easy baby card, especially if a “frilly” baby card is not what you are looking to make! Lol

To make this card, the card base is Crumb Cake cardstock, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

From the Animal Expedition DSP, I used this piece for the base layer, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. I also used additional DSP, the largest scalloped square from the Layering Squares Framelits was used and then I just cut a piece to 1 ½” x 4”:

On a piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the kangaroo in Memento Ink and then colored in with the Light and Dark Smokey Slate, Ivory, and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, and then cut out with the coordinating die. The sentiment is stamped on a ½” piece of Whisper White cardstock (you know, those leftover pieces from when you cut the cardstock) in Crumb Cake ink and the ends punched out with the Banner Triple Punch:

I layered the DSP pieces on the base DSP base layer and then tied a piece of 1/8” Whisper White Sheer Ribbon in a bow around the bottom:

The kangaroo and sentiment are adhered with dimensionals and then this is adhered to the card base:

The inside sentiment is from the Abstract Impressions stamp set, stamped in Crumb Cake ink and then I used my Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker on the word Love, on a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White cardstock. The kangaroo is stamped along the edges in Crumb Cake ink, in which I stamped off first:

How easy was that?? You could easily trade out the sentiment or even add some balloons!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
