Filled with Love

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is featuring the Animal Expedition Suite! With the new Watercolor Pencils that are available now through August 31st(while supplies last), I was able to use the Crushed Curry pencil from this set to help color in these super cute giraffes!! The sentiments are from the Special Celebrations stamp set, which is a great set to have for many different occasions.

To make this card, start with the card base in Thick Whisper White cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

The base layer is Crushed Curry cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and embossed with the Climbing Vines Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

The giraffe stamp from Animal Outing stamp set is stamped on Watercolor Paper in Stazon Ink. They are then colored in with the Crushed Curry and Early Espresso Watercolor Pencils and blended with an Aqua Painter. After the paper dries, they are cut out with the coordinating die from the Animal Friends Thinlits Dies:

I cut a piece of this Designer Series Paper from Animal Expedition DSP to 1 ½” x 4”. I used the leaf die from Animal Friends to cut out 5 pieces in Call Me Clover cardstock and 2 additional leaves in Vellum cardstock with the Leaf Punch. The sentiment is on Whisper White cardstock in Call Me Clover ink and punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch. I cut an 8” piece of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and folded in half:

I used liquid glue to adhere the giraffes to the DSP, so this will give me some room to move them before it sets:

I placed some Snail on the back of the DSP to help adhere a couple of the Call Me Clover and Vellum leaves to the back and then used liquid glue on the rest:

A small amount of Snail is used on the front for the Tulle Ribbon and then the sentiment is attached using dimensionals. I used my Silicon Craft Sheet underneath while putting this together so the DSP would not stick to my grid paper:

The giraffe piece is then adhered to the embossed base layer and then this is adhered to the card base:

The inside sentiment is stamped in Call Me Clover ink and then I used the Call Me Clover Stampin’ Write Marker to color only part of the leaf stamp:

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
