Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is featuring the Animal Expedition Suite! Most of us avid card creator’s make cards for birthdays, holidays, and certain occasions, but what about sending a card to let someone know you are thinking about them? It’s amazing what a simple gesture, like sending a card, can make all the difference for someone’s day!
The card base is Basic Gray cardstock, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:
The base layer is from the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper, cut at 4” x 5 ¼” and then cut again at 2”, using the other side of the DSP measuring 2” x 4”:
I used the rhino stamp from the Animal Outing stamp set in Memento Ink, coloring in with Light and Dark Smokey Slate, Light Old Olive, Light Petal Pink (horn), Light Calypso Coral, Light Poppy Parade, and Dark Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends, and then cut out with the coordinating die from the Animal Friend Thinlits Dies. The leaves are from the Animal Friends Thinlits Dies in Call Me Clover cardstock and a 4 ½” piece of Call Me Clover 1/8” Grosgrain Ribbon:
Adhere the DSP to the card base as shown and then adhere the piece of Call Me Clover Ribbon across the seam, trimming off the excess so it is the same length as the DSP:
Adhere two groups of 3 leaves together, then adhere those and the single leaf to the back of the rhino. This rhino piece is then adhered with dimensionals to the DSP:
The front sentiment is from the Waterfront stamp set on a piece of Whisper White cardstock in Basic Gray ink. This is then cut out with the smallest square Stitched Shapes Framelits and it is layered on top of Pool Party cardstock, cut out with the 3rdsmallest scallop square from the Layering Squares Framelits and adhered with a dimensional:
The inside sentiment is on a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White cardstock from the Waterfront stamp set, in Basic Gray ink. The leaf with the frog stamp from Animal Outing stamp set is stamped in Memento Ink (the leaves only) and then colored in with the Color Me Clover Stampin’ Write Marker:
