More than all the stars

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features the Little Twinkle Bundle! This bundle from the Annual Catalog has been on my shopping list, so when I made my pre-order for the 2018 Holiday Catalog and saw that the Twinkle Builder Punch coordinates with the Spooky Sweets Bundle, well I just had to get both! I just love the sentiments from the Little Twinkle stamp set and since Moon Baby was retired, this made it to my shopping list!! While this is obviously a great set for a baby card, you can actually use it for other occasions: child/grandchild birthday, spouse birthday, wedding, and anniversary. I didn’t order the coordinating Designer Series Paper because I wasn’t sure about it, but now I’ve taken some time to look and get some ideas, it will definitely be on my next order!

To create this card, first start with a piece of Night of Navy cardstock for the base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_25ff

The next two layers are Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and Night of Navy cardstock, cut at 3 ¾” x 5”:

fullsizeoutput_2602

For the Night of Navy top layer, I first stamped the single star and heart stamps in Craft Whisper White ink:

fullsizeoutput_2605

For the moon and stars, I used the Twinkle Builder Punch to cut out pieces from a scrap of Silver Foil:

fullsizeoutput_2608

The moon and three bigger stars are adhered with mini dimensionals and everything else I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen. For these small pieces I used the Take Your Pick tool and that was a life saver!!:

fullsizeoutput_260e

I added a little more sparkle with the Rhinestone Basic Jewells and then used some Silver Baker’s Twine to wrap around the bottom three times and tie into a bow:

fullsizeoutput_2611

I then adhered the Night of Navy cardstock to the Whisper White cardstock with dimensionals. This piece is then adhered to the card base with snail adhesive:

fullsizeoutput_2614fullsizeoutput_2617

The inside sentiment and accent stamps are stamped in Night of Navy ink:

fullsizeoutput_261a

Wasn’t that quick and easy? This is a great example of how this could be a birthday card or even an anniversary card.

Playing with Gallery Grunge!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is my first time creating with the Gallery Grunge stamp set! When I first saw this set in the Annual Catalog, the “wood plank” stamp is what sold me on it! I wanted to create a fun card with the Painted Harvest stamp set (it was time to dust it off and bring it back out) and I thought the Gallery Grunge set would pair perfectly with it! I did fussy cut the flowers out for this card and even though I’m not the greatest at fussy cutting, this wasn’t too hard because you really don’t have to be precise in your cutting!

To create this card, first start with a piece of Gray Granite cardstock, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½:

fullsizeoutput_25ed

The base layer is Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and the “wood plank” stamp from Gallery Grunge is stamped in Gray Granite ink. To achieve the all over look, I first stamped in the middle, towards the bottom, of the cardstock, and then inked and stamped again on top. I repeated this process on each side and it’s ok if it’s not “perfect”, this stamp is very forgiving:

fullsizeoutput_25f0

The additional pieces for the card front are from Painted Harvest, I stamped 3 of the flowers in Rich Razzleberry ink (both stamps), with the middle stamped in So Saffron ink, fussy cut out, and added some Wink of Stella. The leaves are stamped in Old Olive ink on Old Olive cardstock and punched out with the coordinating Leaf Punch. I cut enough Linen Thread to wrap around the base layer 3 times:

fullsizeoutput_25f3

To assemble the front, I adhered the leaves to the back of the flower with glue dots, adhered one of the flowers with Snail, and then the other two with dimensionals. The Linen Thread is wrapped around 3 times and then tied in a knot:

fullsizeoutput_25f6

The completed base layer is then adhered to the card base with dimensionals:

fullsizeoutput_25f9

The inside is a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White cardstock, the flowers stamped in Rich Razzleberry and So Saffron inks with some Wink of Stella added, the leaves are stamped in Old Olive ink, and the sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings in Gray Granite ink:

fullsizeoutput_25fc

What a quick and easy card!! Deciding on colors is never easy, and I did stamp a few times trying to figure out which colors to use for the flowers and then which card base would look best, Gray Granite, Old Olive, or Rich Razzleberry. I chose Gray Granite because I felt that the colors for the flowers really popped and Rich Razzleberry or Old Olive would take that away the focal point of the flowers.

While I’m writing this blog, I keep staring at the Gallery Grunge stamp set because the other three stamps seem so familiar. Then it dawned on me! Animal Expedition DSP!! The other three stamps coordinate with some of the designs!! Now I’m really going to have to play with this stamp set!!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun card to send to the wine lover in your life! With Fall just a few short weeks away (WHAT??), the makes me think of sitting by the firepit with a nice drink in hand and enjoying time with friends! This card does require a little bit of fussy cutting, but even if you are not the greatest, the wine bottle and glass are super easy to cut out.

To make this card, first start with a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_25bd

The base layer is Designer Series Paper from the Nature’s Poem DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

The pieces you will need for the card front are:

2 ½ x 3 ½ Mossy Meadow cardstock, embossed with the Pinewood Planks DTIEF

A piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the “stars” stamp from Bokeh Dots stamp set in So Saffron ink, and fussy cut out

3 ½” piece of Burlap Ribbon

fullsizeoutput_25cc

Adhere the wine bottle, glass, and stitched circle with dimensionals:

fullsizeoutput_25cf

Adhere the base layer to the card base with dimensionals. I added 3 of the large Clear Faceted Gems for a little bling:

fullsizeoutput_25d2

The inside sentiment is on a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White cardstock, stamped in Mossy Meadow ink, and I used So Saffron and Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Markers to individually color the wine glasses:

Isn’t this super cute?? If you notice, the stitched circle looks like a serving tray!!

Kindness Gate Fold Card

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a super easy Gate Fold card featuring the Abstract Impressions stamp set! I really wanted to create a card using Granny Apple Green, so I used a piece of DSP from the Brights 6” x 6” DSP and combined it with Highland Heather to create a bright and cheery card! I typically do not use a lot of purples in my card making, however, since this year’s color revamp, I really do like Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape! I really liked combining Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather to create a card outside of my normal colors.

To create this card, first start with a piece of Highland Heather cardstock cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”. Next, you will need to score at 2 1/8” from each end, along the 8 ½” side:

fullsizeoutput_252e

Using this piece of Granny Apple Green DSP from the Brights 6” x 6” DSP, cut two pieces at 2” x 5 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_2531

The front flap is a piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut at 3 ½” x 4 ¾”. The flowers are stamped in Highland Heather and Blackberry Bliss inks (stamping off once before stamping on the cardstock), the flower buds are in Petal Pink ink (the first stamp is stamped off and the second stamp is fully inked), and the leaves are first stamped in Granny Apple Green ink (stamp off first) and the smaller leaves are in Pear Pizzazz ink:

fullsizeoutput_2534

The sentiment is stamped in Granny Apple Green ink and the butterfly is stamped in Highland Heather and Petal Pink inks on Whisper White cardstock and then cut out using the 3rdlargest circle from the Layering Circles Framelits, which is layered on a piece of Highland Heather cardstock, cut out with the 2ndlargest scalloped circle framelit:

fullsizeoutput_2537

To put this card together, adhere the DSP panels to the front with adhesive, use a piece of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon to tie a bow around the Whisper White cardstock, and then adhere the layered circles with dimensionals:

fullsizeoutput_253afullsizeoutput_253dfullsizeoutput_2540

I used some dimensionals on the left side of the Whisper White cardstock to adhere to the left panel of the card base:

fullsizeoutput_2543fullsizeoutput_2546

The inside sentiment is on a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White cardstock, stamped in Highland Heather ink, and the flowers are stamped in Highland Heather and Blackberry Bliss inks (stamping off first):

fullsizeoutput_2549

Wasn’t that quick and easy?? The Abstract Impressions stamp set is so pretty and so versatile that you can easily create your own background with any color combination!! Are there any of the new colors that you haven’t tried yet?

Mixing up Designer Series Paper!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is combining the Garden Impressions and the Brights 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper! This is a great quick and easy card to make, the only stamping is the sentiment on the front! I will admit that creating this card was a “happy accident”, I was trying to decide which of the two DSP’s to use, so, I just started playing around and thought the Mango Melody 6” x 6” DSP went perfectly with this flower design from Garden Impressions. To top it off, I was able to make an alternative card and use almost every bit of paper! Win-win!!

To create this card, you will start off with the card base in Thick Whisper White cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”

fullsizeoutput_251f

Each of the Designer Series Papers are cut exactly the same: cut ¾” off one side ( 5 ¼” x 6”), then along the 6” side, cut at 2”. This will give you ¾” x 6”, 2” x 5 ¼”, and 4” x 5 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_2522

The dragonflies are from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits are cut out using the Gold Glimmer Paper and the sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings on Whisper White cardstock in Mango Melody ink, cut out with the Stitched Labels Framelits:

fullsizeoutput_2525

To put the card together, I adhered the 2” x 5 ¼” Garden Impressions DSP to the 4” x 5 ¼” Brights DSP, adhered the sentiment, used mini dimensionals to adhere the dragonflies, and added some Gold Metallic Pearls to the center of the flowers:

fullsizeoutput_2528

The remaining ¾” x 6” of Garden Impressions DSP is adhered to the bottom of the inside of the card, trimming off the extra from the end:

fullsizeoutput_252b

How easy was that?? While this card uses the striped design, my alternative below uses the other side of the Mango Melody DSP, which is the dot design. I did change it up and used the bee thinlit from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlit Dies from the Black Foil Sheets, from the 2018 Holiday Catalog!

Quick and easy Thank You cards!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which will show you how to create four cards from one sheet of 6” x 6” Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper! What made creating these cards so easy, is that the DSP has several colors that you can change the cardstock to create a slightly different look for each card. This was my first time using the Tufted Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, along with the Stitched Labels Framelits that the sentiment is on, and I love how these turned out! If you missed these two gems, definitely check them out. The Stitched Shapes Framelits have a coordinating stamp set (Stitched All Around, page 17 in the Annual Catalog), however, I only purchased the framelits because I just loved all the ways I knew I could incorporate them into my cards.

To make these cards, I first cut four sheets of cardstock, one each of Melon Mambo, Powder Pink, Calypso Coral, and Petal Pink, at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½” for the card base:

fullsizeoutput_2504

I then cut one each of the same cardstock for the base layer at 4” x 5 ¼” and embossed with the Tufted DTIEF:

fullsizeoutput_2501

The 6” x 6” piece of DSP is cut into four, which gives you 3” x 3” pieces. Then cut a 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” piece of cardstock in Melon Mambo, Powder Pink, Calypso Coral, and Petal Pink, adhering the DSP on top:

fullsizeoutput_2507

The sentiment if from the Abstract Impressions stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on Whisper White cardstock, cut out with the Stitched Labels Framelits. I first cut out Whisper White cardstock with the framelit, made one as a base template so that I could use my Stamparatus to easily stamp the sentiment each time. I find it much easier to cut out the framelit first and then stamp, so this way I do not have to worry about the cut being slightly off, especially when you have a limited space to stamp such as this piece:

fullsizeoutput_250afullsizeoutput_250d

The 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” square is adhered to the embossed base layer, the sentiment is adhered with dimensionals, and I used a piece of Shaded Spruce ribbon from the Metallic Ribbon combo pack to tie into a bow:

fullsizeoutput_2510fullsizeoutput_2513

This is then adhered to the card base with dimensionals and for each card to color combo is Melon Mambo/Powder Pink and Calypso Coral/Petal Pink, alternating colors for each layer. I also added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a little bling:

fullsizeoutput_2516

The inside is a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White cardstock and I used my Stamparatus to use the 2-step flower stamp from Abstract Impressions. I also color coordinated the flower with the card, so the outside petals are light with the inside petal dark, using the Melon Mambo/Powder Pink and Calypso Coral/Petal Pink colors:

fullsizeoutput_2519fullsizeoutput_251c

This card design would really work with any of the Garden Impressions DSP, just add your sentiment! Which color combo is your favorite? If I really had to choose, it would be the Calypso Coral card base.

Amazing

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is another feature of the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper! I’ve had so much fun playing and creating with this particular design this week and today’s card has some bling! I’m also using two products that carried over from the 2018 Sale-A-Bration catalog, the Celebrate You Thinlit Dies and the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

To make this card, start with Mossy Meadow cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼” for the card base:

fullsizeoutput_24dd

The base layer is the bigger flower element from this DSP design, fussy cut the middle out, round the corners with the Trio Punch, and layered underneath is a piece of Petal Pink cardstock, cut at 3” x 4 ¼”, and embossed with the Basket Weave DTIEF:

fullsizeoutput_24e0

The embossed cardstock is adhered under the DSP and I used a piece of Champagne Foil with the Amazing Thinlit, which is adhered on top of the embossed cardstock:

fullsizeoutput_24e3fullsizeoutput_24e6

I adhered a piece of Petal Pink Ribbon (from the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack) and a piece of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon to the back. This piece is then adhered with dimensionals to the card base and added some Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels for some additional bling to the center of the flower:

fullsizeoutput_24e9

The inside sentiment from Special Celebrations is on a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” of Very Vanilla cardstock stamped in Mossy Meadow. The small flowers are made from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits in Petal Pink cardstock:

fullsizeoutput_24ec

This is another quick and easy card, so don’t be hesitant to play around with this Designer Series Paper! This works great with some of the awesome sentiment stamps from Stampin’ Up!
