Celebrate

Hello and welcome to today’s card, featuring the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper and the Celebrate You Thinlits! If you missed these thinlits during Sale-A-Bration, well, they are available for purchase in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog! If you look closely, you will see that the word Celebrate is a triple layer, which I incorporated the colors of the cardstock and DSP to layer with the Gold Glimmer Paper.

The card base is Early Espresso cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

The next two layers are from the same sheet of DSP, the base layer is cut at 3 ¾” x 5”, and the next layer is cut at 3” x 4 ¼”:

The front of the card base is embossed with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

Celebrate is cut out of Early Espresso and Petal Pink cardstocks and Gold Glimmer Paper from the Celebrate You Thinlit Dies:

Using the Fine Tip Glue Pen, first adhere the Petal Pink cardstock to the Early Espresso cardstock and then adhere the Gold Glimmer Paper on top. I adhered them slightly off so the layers underneath would peek out:

The two pieces of DSP are layered and then adhered together and then adhered to the card base:

I used Glue Dots to adhere Celebrate across the DSP and then placed some Gold Metallic Pearls around for some added bling:

The inside sentiment is from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark in and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. The background stamp from this set is stamped in Petal Pink ink along the bottom:

This is my first time using the Subtle Embossing Folder and this is perfect if you want some added texture to your cardstock! Another alternative, instead of using the thinlits, stamp and heat emboss a sentiment on Vellum cardstock. If you missed it, this year we have Rose Glimmer Paper and Rose Metallic Thread that coordinates with this paper, so that is on my next order for sure!!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
