Rooted in Nature

Hello and welcome to today’s card, featuring the Nature’s Poem Suite, located on pages 142-144 in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. Have you checked this mega suite out?? Not only does it have coordinating framelit dies, but 3 of these dies can emboss with the new Big Shot Embossing Mats (page 221)!! I don’t know about you, but I was so very excited to see these embossing mats!!

The card base is Crumb Cake cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

The tree from the Rooted in Nature stamp set is heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder and cut out using the 2ndlargest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I used Crumb Cake cardstock to cut out the largest scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits and to emboss and cut out the leaf from the Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies. Then I used Tranquil Tide cardstock to cut out the 3rdlargest oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits and to emboss and cut the leaf from the Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies. The large leaf from these dies is embossed and cut out using Silver Foil Sheets:

The ovals are adhered and layered together and the leaves are adhered to the back:

Use Mint Macaron twine from the Nature’s Twine, wrapping around the DSP twice, and tying in a bow:

Adhere the base layer to the card base and then the ovals on top using dimensionals:

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
