Hello and welcome to today’s card, featuring the Lilypad Lake Bundle and Rooted in Nature stamp set! I’ve been creating with Lilypad Lake all week and have yet to make a lake card! I also included a sneak peek at the Artisan Textures stamp set when I created the lake, this set is not available until June 1st, but this is one of the stamp sets I won from a Prize Patrol from OnStage in April!! This card is actually very easy to make and was inspired by the striped DSP from the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper.
For the card layers you will need Mint Macaron cardstock cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”, Tranquil Tide cardstock cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, the striped DSP from Nature’s Poem DSP cut at 3 ¾” x 5”, and a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 ½” x 4 ¾”:
To make the lake on the Whisper White cardstock, first start with the single tree stamp from Rooted in Nature and stamp in Tranquil Tide ink (1st, 2nd, & 3rdgeneration stamping):
To create the shoreline, I used a Sponge Dauber in Crumb Cake ink and then stamped the waves in Mint Macaron ink (this is the stamp from Artisan Textures):
I then used this stamp again in Tranquil Tide ink and filled in the water’s color with a Sponge Dauber in Soft Sea Foam ink:
The lilypads are stamped in Memento ink and colored in with Tranquil Tide, Mint Macaron, Poppy Parade Stampin’ Write Markers and Grapefruit Grove ink with a Blender Pen. These are then cut out with the coordinating framelit:
The cardstock and DSP layers are all adhered to the Mint Macaron card base:
The lilypads are adhered along the bottom with dimensionals:
The inside is stamped with the single tree stamp in Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide inks on a piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:
You may be wondering why there is no sentiment on this card?? Well, all the cards I share with you I do send out and sometimes it’s nice to have a card that is readily available for any reason. I like to have a stash of cards readily available because sometimes life gets hectic and you may forget about that card you needed, lol!
