Celebrate

Hello and welcome to today’s card, featuring the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper and the Celebrate You Thinlits! If you missed these thinlits during Sale-A-Bration, well, they are available for purchase in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog! If you look closely, you will see that the word Celebrate is a triple layer, which I incorporated the colors of the cardstock and DSP to layer with the Gold Glimmer Paper.

The card base is Early Espresso cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_20b1

The next two layers are from the same sheet of DSP, the base layer is cut at 3 ¾” x 5”, and the next layer is cut at 3” x 4 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_20b4

The front of the card base is embossed with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

fullsizeoutput_20c0

Celebrate is cut out of Early Espresso and Petal Pink cardstocks and Gold Glimmer Paper from the Celebrate You Thinlit Dies:

fullsizeoutput_20b7

Using the Fine Tip Glue Pen, first adhere the Petal Pink cardstock to the Early Espresso cardstock and then adhere the Gold Glimmer Paper on top. I adhered them slightly off so the layers underneath would peek out:

fullsizeoutput_20bafullsizeoutput_20bd

The two pieces of DSP are layered and then adhered together and then adhered to the card base:

fullsizeoutput_20c3

I used Glue Dots to adhere Celebrate across the DSP and then placed some Gold Metallic Pearls around for some added bling:

fullsizeoutput_20c6

The inside sentiment is from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark in and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. The background stamp from this set is stamped in Petal Pink ink along the bottom:

fullsizeoutput_20c9fullsizeoutput_20cc

This is my first time using the Subtle Embossing Folder and this is perfect if you want some added texture to your cardstock! Another alternative, instead of using the thinlits, stamp and heat emboss a sentiment on Vellum cardstock. If you missed it, this year we have Rose Glimmer Paper and Rose Metallic Thread that coordinates with this paper, so that is on my next order for sure!!

With Love & Sympathy

Hello and welcome to today’s card, featuring the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper! What makes this a quick and easy card is the Designer Series Paper! Even though Berry Burst is not listed as one of the coordinating colors, I think is pairs perfectly with this design from the paper! I chose sentiments from Itty Bitty Greeting to keep the focal point on the paper.

The card base is Berry Burst cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_208b

The base layer is from the Petal Promenade DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_208e

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set, stamped in Berry Burst ink on Whisper White cardstock, and cut out using the 2ndfrom the smallest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. This piece is layered on a piece of Silver Foil Sheet, cut out with the 4thfrom the largest scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits:

fullsizeoutput_2091

To complete the front of the card, tie a piece of 1/8” Sheer Ribbon in Whisper White in a bow around the DSP, adhere the oval layers together, and then use dimensionals to adhere to the DSP:

fullsizeoutput_2094

The base layer is then adhered to the card base:

fullsizeoutput_2097

The inside sentiment is on Whisper White cardstock cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. The sentiment is also from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set in Berry Burst ink and the flowers are from the Abstract Impressions stamp set, stamped in Berry Burst and Fresh Fig inks:

fullsizeoutput_209afullsizeoutput_209d

That’s it!! Wasn’t that quick and simple?? While I love to make a variety of cards, sometimes it’s nice to just make something quick and simple, let the Designer Series Paper do the work for you!!

Thank you, Big Time

Hello and welcome to today’s card, featuring the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper! Recently I shared this stunning paper on my business Facebook page, so this week I am going to share with you a few cards that I’ve created using this paper! This is a quick and easy card, which comes in handy when you are limited on time.  You can also make a few of these to have on hand and use any sentiment!

fullsizeoutput_206d

The card base is Mossy Meadow cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_2073

The base layer is Petal Pink cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and is embossed with the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impression Embossing Folder:

fullsizeoutput_2076

For this sheet of the DSP, I trimmed the pieces down and chose the pink roses. I then used the Detailed Trio Punch to round the corners:

fullsizeoutput_2070

The sentiment is from the Animal Outing stamp set, which I heat embossed in Copper Embossing Powder:

fullsizeoutput_2079

Using the 5/8” Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon in Whisper White, wrap around the Petal Pink cardstock and tie into a bow. I placed a Mini Glue Dot behind the bow to secure to the cardstock:

fullsizeoutput_207c

The DSP is then adhered on the left side with Stampin’ Dimensionals:

fullsizeoutput_207f

The card base is then adhered to the card base with more Stampin’ Dimensionals and I added some Pearl Basic Jewels to the middle of the roses:

fullsizeoutput_2082

The inside sentiment is on Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. I used the Make a Difference stamp set for the letters in Mossy Meadow ink and the flower I used the Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Markers:

fullsizeoutput_2085fullsizeoutput_2088

This is the first time I have used the Make a Difference stamp set, which wasn’t too terribly hard! I did use clear blocks to stamp instead of my Stamparatus, so I do suggest that you purchase extra “A” and “G” Clear Blocks if you haven’t already. This just makes it easier to have all your letters on the block before you start stamping, instead of cleaning and removing each one. You can also place a letter on each side of the block (in the corner or end), so you can have two letters on one block! I definitely will be experimenting with this set and my Stamparatus! The benefit of the Make a Difference stamp set is that you can create your own saying, such as I did for the inside of this card, and you can personalize it with the recipient’s name!

Patriotic Blog Hop!

fullsizeoutput_2064

Hello and welcome to the June Stamp It Group Blog Hop and Giveaway! This month’s theme is Patriotic/4thof July and the card I am showing today can also be used as a cute invitation if you are having a celebration to invite friends and family! I used a combination of the Pick A Pennant Bundle (page 173), Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies (page 219), and the Brights 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper (page 191) to create this fun and patriotic card!

The card base is Poppy Parade cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_204c

The base layer is Pacific Point cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and is embossed with the Simple Stripes TIEF:

fullsizeoutput_204f

I used the Adirondack chair die from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies to cut out the three chairs using the white-washed wood from the Wood Textures 6” x 6” DSP and the Poppy Parade and Pacific Point from the Brights 6” x 6” DSP:

fullsizeoutput_2039

To make the template for the pennant from the Playful Pennants Framelits Dies, cut a 2 ½ x 6 ½ piece of Whisper White cardstock, and then cut out the pennants:

fullsizeoutput_203c

Another reason the Stamparatus is a must, you can line up the stamps from the Pick a Pennant stamp set easily to stamp onto your pennant template! I used Poppy Parade and Pacific Point inks to stamp the sentiment:

fullsizeoutput_203ffullsizeoutput_2043fullsizeoutput_2046

Using the same Poppy Parade and Pacific Point 6” x 6” DSP for the Adirondack chairs, I flipped the DSP over and to cut the bow from the Playful Pennants Framelits Dies, adding a Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the middle of each:

fullsizeoutput_2049

Adhere the Adirondack chairs to the base layer using Mini Dimensionals cut in half (**Tip-when cutting the Mini Dimensionals in half, cut from point to point and then you will have a flat edge that is easier to line up and hide behind your image):

fullsizeoutput_2052

Mini Dimensionals are used to adhere the pennants and bows across the top, snipping off the excess cardstock:

fullsizeoutput_2055fullsizeoutput_2058

The base layer is adhered to the card base using Dimensionals:

fullsizeoutput_205b

For the inside sentiment, I used the Celebrate stamp from the Tabs for Everything stamp set in Pacific Point ink, and the stars from the Pick a Pennant stamp set in Poppy Parade and Pacific Point inks:

fullsizeoutput_205efullsizeoutput_2061

Isn’t this a fun card?? I’m so happy to see Poppy Parade back, love this bright and cheerful color!! Don’t forget about the pennant template! This can easily be stored with your stamp set or with your other templates and can be used again and again for future stamping!

Be strong

Hello and welcome to today’s card, featuring the Nature’s Poem Suite, located on pages 142-144 in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. This is a great card that is quick and simple to make AND uses that leftover Designer Series Paper! I have some 3” x 3” squares left over from the card swap I participated in, so this is what I started with to create this card. If you have multiple cards that you need to make, cutting your Designer Series Paper into smaller pieces will also make it go farther!

The card base is Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. The card front is embossed using the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

fullsizeoutput_1f97

From the Nature’s Twine, I used a piece of Crumb Cake and Blackberry Bliss twine, which I tied in a knot and frayed the ends:

fullsizeoutput_1f9a

I had this piece of designer series paper from Nature’s Poem DSP, 3” x 3”. Stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I used Soft Suede and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Markers to color the tree image from the Rooted in Nature stamp set and cut out with the coordinating framelit from the Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies:

fullsizeoutput_1f9d

The tree is adhered to the DSP and then adhered to the card base with dimensionals. I placed some of the dimensionals around the twine to keep that in place:

fullsizeoutput_1fa0

The sentiment from this stamp set is stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock in Blackberry Bliss ink and then cut out:

fullsizeoutput_1fa3

The sentiments are adhered on the card front with Mini Dimensionals:

fullsizeoutput_1fa6

The inside sentiment is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink and the leaves are stamped in Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede inks, stamping off on a scrap piece of paper first:

fullsizeoutput_1fa9

Wasn’t that quick and easy?? Not sure if there is enough twine to make 11 cards, but maybe I should’ve made this for my card swap! lol

Thinking of you

Hello and welcome to today’s card, featuring the Nature’s Poem Suite, located on pages 142-144 in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. Notice anything different? The corners are rounded! Stampin’ Up! introduced the Detailed Trio Punch (page 211) and which includes a corner rounder! If you don’t have the Envelope Punch Board (or even if you do), this product is a must for adding details!

The card base is Soft Suede cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_1f6d

I used these designs from the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper, cut at 4” x 5 and 2” x 5 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_1f70

On a piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the trunk image from the Rooted in Nature stamp set in Soft Suede ink, stamping off first. Then using the sentiment from this stamp set, heat emboss in White Embossing Powder. The image on the right is embossed first and stamped second. I like the result on the left!

I fussy cut this from the Whisper White cardstock and roughed up the edges with the edge of my scissors:

fullsizeoutput_1f79

I used the Detailed Trio Punch to round the edges of the card base and the base layer DSP and then adhered the layers to the card base:

I cut a piece of the Burlap Ribbon, adhered that across, and then cut a piece of Nature’s Twine in Grapefruit Grove, working the strands apart on the ends:

fullsizeoutput_1f82fullsizeoutput_1f85

You can use dimensionals to keep the twine in place:

The sentiment is placed on top of the dimensionals, I used one of the leaves from the Leaves Trinkets, tying a doubled piece of Linen Thread in a knot, and used a glue dot to adhere:

fullsizeoutput_1f8e

The inside sentiment is on Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamped in Cajun Craze ink, and the leaves from the stamp set are stamped in Tranquil Tide and Cajun Craze inks:

fullsizeoutput_1f91fullsizeoutput_1f94

This a great quick and easy card, with just a few added details, that would be great to send to someone! Do you have anyone in mind you’d make and send this to?

Not only does it have coordinating framelit dies, but 3 of these dies can emboss with the new Big Shot Embossing Mats (page 221)!! fullsizeoutput_1f55

fullsizeoutput_1f58

The tree from the Rooted in Nature stamp set is heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder and cut out using the 2ndlargest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I used Crumb Cake cardstock to cut out the largest scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits and to emboss and cut out the leaf from the Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies. Then I used Tranquil Tide cardstock to cut out the 3rdlargest oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits and to emboss and cut the leaf from the Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies. The large leaf from these dies is embossed and cut out using Silver Foil Sheets:

fullsizeoutput_1f5b

The ovals are adhered and layered together and the leaves are adhered to the back:

fullsizeoutput_1f5e

Use Mint Macaron twine from the Nature’s Twine, wrapping around the DSP twice, and tying in a bow:

fullsizeoutput_1f61

Adhere the base layer to the card base and then the ovals on top using dimensionals:

fullsizeoutput_1f64
